Dislikes
- The academic pressure on the students is so high that sometimes students take unusual steps which hamper their life
- the rigorous curriculum combined with a high level of compitition can make it difficult for students to maintain a healthy work life balance
- there may be limited time and opportunities for students to focus on extra curriculars
Course Curriculum Overview
The course helps to prepare students for real-world applications and further academic pursuits is equally crucial. well the institute needs to improve in some areas, like the timing of exams should be carefully planned in order to reduce students' stress and the difficulty should challenge students without being overly daunting. A semester in IIT Delhi is nearly of 4 months during which they conduct a mid sem and end sem exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am a general category student and the semester fees of the course is 1 lakh . During JOSSA counselling , we had to pay a seat acceptance fees of 37500/- the students belonging to other categories like ST and SC have to pay semester fess of 25000/- and initially they have to pay 17500/- as seat acceptance fees . the college provides medical aid to all IIT Delhi students as free cheack up amd medicines
Campus Life
IIT Delhi's annual cultural fest Rendevous , is often held during the month of october , is Asia's largest college cultural fest . Apart from that , IIT Delhi celebrates its annual tech fest called Tryst , upholds the stature of IITD for conducting mind- bending STEM- related competitions. The institute holds various student portals like IITD webmail , where students receieve all the important academic and non academic notifications , another is Moodle , where teachers uploads all the academic content of the course. The institute provides various opportunities in sports and extra curricular activities like Mittal Sports complex has wide range of sports . the campus provide various technological provisions , the classrooms are AC ventilated and projectors .
Admission
Talking about IIT Delhi , it is on of the best engenierring colleges in India. Taking Admission here is itself a great achievement. the NIRF ranking 2025, IIT Delhi tops amongst all the engineeering colleges in the country. The admission process was done during JoSSA counselling , I have cleared Jee Advanced to take admission in this college. I did not get rejection from any other colleges. To be eligible to take admission to IIT Delhi , one needs to pass JEE Advanced and participate in JoSSA counselling
Faculty
the faculty to students ratio differs from year to year in the the course , as in first year the ratio is around 1: 250 , whereas in 2nd and 3rd year this ratio drops to 1:50 0r 1:90. some of the faculities here are so best , some are prof. pramit chaudary , HOD of department of chemistry whereas I dont like some my tutorial teachers because of their language issues. the exams here are quite tough and challemging
Night Life
there are around 11 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels in the campus . each hostels has its own gym and night mess . the campus is free and safe to roam even at midnight . there are various outlets of prominents brands like Nescafe, Amul, Cafe Coffee Day, BIkanerwaala etc. and these outlets are open 24/7 . there are several cafeterias to hangout . mostly students hangout in Bio- Tech lawns , Mech lawns during nightout. mostly library is open throughtout 24 hours , during sundays and holidays is closed for 3 AM to 6 AM
