What Students Say?
Likes
- For people who are working on regular days and cannot study in a regular college, have an opportunity to study on Sundays.
- We have offline classes, and teachers are helpful and supportive. They clear your doubts.
Dislikes
- There could have been a class on Saturday also, as just a Sunday is not enough for a course like English Honours.
- Kids do not fully respect the course as they enrol in this course because it is cheap, and they can get the degree easily.
Course Curriculum Overview
My decision to choose this course was that I am interested in studying English Literature. The course is relevant as it helps you in thinking and introspect on human behaviour by reading character in novels. Value added course can help in knowing about other subjects as well. This course has the capability to enhance our personality. The only problem I see is very few classes only 10 classes per semester. Teaching methods are effective, just the time is a constraint.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am currently studying in School of Open Learning, Delhi University. Fees for this year was 8820. The structure of the fees is not correctly mentioned, they show total amount only for School of Open Learning. The fee is affordable for any student. They also have reservation system as well.
Campus Life
The clubs are not effective as it is not a regular college. Social interactions can be termed as average as you do not have variety in the students you meet here. Infrastructure is decent. The library is not in a good shape as it could have been better. No activity of sports is offered. It is quite basic here.
Admission
I could only apply to this college as I was working in weekdays. The admission process was smooth and there wasn't any problems as such. The course started late due to Covid-19. The only difference I see is that the attitude of students and teachers as it is not a regular college. There could be more seriousness for this college as well.
Faculty
The faculty is quite helpful and supportive, They also provide us with good study material. However, for a course like English Honours, there could be some extra classes during the week for students who are interested. Exams are divided into Assesment(MCQs) and Theory(written). MCQs are basically at home and students can easily get good marks as cheating is possible. Theory is still effective. I believe MCQ's can be more strict. There are 10 classes per semester which is reasonably low.
Night Life
There isn't any nightlife or gyms. The canteen is not of good quality. The attitude is casual as the classes are held only once a week. However, we can go to cafes around north campus which is a substitute for slight bad experience in college.
