One cannot get the college experience that you experience in the four years of GEC, anywhere else. The college management is also prompt with our queries and requests. For any further help that a student might require, the college union is always available to help.

Course Curriculum and exam structure are relevant and research-driven. Being an electrical engineer, I had good hands-on experience with electrical machines which helped me learn more. Industrial visits are compulsory.

The GEC placement cell ensures 100% placement to all students of the college. Top recruiters have been Bosch, Mahindra, Yahoo, Larsen & Turbo, SAP, Huawei, and Oracle. The placement cell provides placement training for students of all departments before the placement season begins. They train students in interview skills, group discussion, and communication and also provide tips for cracking the initial aptitude test conducted by most of the recruiters. We as students felt highly confident through these placement training sessions.

Our college has been the platform for Biennial International conferences since 2009. The ISTE GEC chapter also conducts "Yukthi" which brings students together to showcase their ideas and also enhance learning. An Inter collegial extravaganza called "Dyuthi" is also conducted every year. Bhoomika & Confluence helps every student to put forward their artistical and creative selves forward.

The fee structure is highly workable. Being a government college, the fees, and hostel fees are all minimal. Yearly fees account to around 8000 rupees and a PTA fee as well. Scholarships and financial aids are available for anyone seeking financial assistance.

Scholarships are available for students belonging to the SC/ST. or OBC sector. College also provides financial aid for students coming from low-income families.

Campus life in GECT is vibrant and friendly. There are no ragging issues and people from all walks of life are treated equally. Our campus has welcomed everyone and treated everyone fairly. A great emphasis is laid on extracurricular and technical fests. Dyuthi is an inter-collegial tech fest conducted every year which provides an engaging platform for an array of technical events. 'Confluence ' a cultural fest for the artistic and creative heads of GEC is held every year.

The hostel facilities are good. Food and accommodation facilities are not bad either. Hostel fee is minimal as well. Both Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian options are available on the menu. The college women's hostel premises are close by to food, stationery and ladies stores as well.

Alumni network has been growing stronger with every passing year. They have also played an important role in bringing more recruiters to the campus.

Kerala Engineering Entrance Exams are conducted for admission to all reputed engineering institutes of Kerala. The exams are conducted by an official body called the CEE. They calculate the final rank based on your entrance exam marks and your 12th standard final board exam marks. Equal weight age is given to both. After the results are announced, the seat allocation window is opened, where the candidate can send their application. The CEE website will also provide the last rank details of every college and stream based on which the candidate can determine if their application will be accepted or not.

The faculty comprises a board of highly qualified teachers with exceptional knowledge in core subjects. Hence any help that a growing professional might require on the learning area our teachers is a go-to. Faculty is very helpful and always encourage learning. They are always available for clarifying doubts or helping you develop a new brainstorming idea.
