Course Curriculum Overview

3

The main aspect of curriculum which influenced me take the electrical branch is that you have so much to learn .The curriculum which college is very much industry ready and made you feel that you are doing a professional course. The course curriculum have real world applications like time to time industrial visit or ground substation visit which are helpful in my long journey of my career. There are some areas in which the course curriculum lack and the areas are to give more focus on the real world problems and make electrical students more familiar with the electrical industries. The teaching has to be improved in order to make good electrical engineers from the college and from the current teaching method of teachers , there is no way the students are ready to step into the real world. In a semester sessional exam happens 3 times and 1 time semester end exam happens. The difficulty level of these exams is esay to moderate and you can prepare it in 2-3 days maximum.

Placement Experience

3

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement.Companies like Samsung heavy Industries, atkins, arcelormittal design & engineering centre, torrent power and more companies are coming to the campus for core branches. Our seniors batch strength was 120 students and out of 120 student approximately 50% got placement and the highest package was around 7 lpa and average package around 2.5-3.5 lpa.I am going for the higher studies after completing my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

My first year college fees was 118000 including tution fees and other fees which are applicable every year. One time payment (25000)which are paid during addmission are- Registration fees - 1000 Wifi acess - 6000 Book Bank - 5000 Security - 8000 Misc. fees - 1000 E Journal - 3000 Acc. Group insurance - 500 Personality development - 1000 The fees for students are same throughout the course whether they come from any category. The UP government scholarship is also available for all the students. It reimbursed around 40-50% of your fees amount for general and obc students and 100% for sc ,st students. And some central government scholarship are also available like swanath scholarship and many more.

Campus Life

3

Zealican is the annual fest of the college which is 3-4 days long as depends on the events .But the last of the fest where all students gather which is Dj night. It usually happens in the month of April. The college library has all kinds of books and journals you required. There is around 500 sitting capacity of the library. The sports facilities of the college is good and there is a college team for every sports and you can join the team of which sport you like. There are many clubs or societies are present in the college . Every branch has there official society but any students can joins these societies whether you come from any branches. There are also societies which is not branch societies. There are also clubs like chess club that you can join.On college website you have your student portal through which you can track your attendance and you can pay your college fees by this portal.

Hostel Facilities

3

There are three hostels available in the campus. In this one is for the girls and the rest of two for boys. The mess food in the boys hostel is not good. The two boys hostels are BH and ISH hostels ,BH is standard hostel and ISH hostel contains AC rooms but the mess for the both the hostels present in the BH.The menu of mess changes everyday and you get breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. The rooms are alloted as three sharing and in last year you wil get single sharing room. The registration of hostel is done on the time of admission if you get late then you will not either of the hostel. The fee of BH is around 95000 per year and of ISH is around 110000.There are many hostels and PG are also available near the college and you could get double sharing room in these around 10-12k per month.

Admission

I got this college by upsee counseling which was held in 2021 on the basis of jee mains examination.I applied for colleges like Galotia , Abes, Kiet and Akgec and I got the offer from these colleges but I chose the Jss bescase jss's location is in the main town of Noida and it was ranked number private college under aktu. All the other colleges which I did not chose because they all located in the outskirts of the city .I also applied for some government colleges like IET and HBTU but I didn't get admission there because of my rank in jee mains. The admission process of college is simple and easy . You have to be present at the admission day with all the eligible documents and the rest process of admission is done by the college staff. You can get admission by jee mains or you can get in by direct admission. The cutoff of cs or it branch is around 90-91 pecentile in jee mains and in core branches it goest upto 85 percentile.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is pretty decent and it os around 1:25 or 1:30.The faculty is easy to approach in any kind of situation but the attitude of teachers is kind a rude but there are some exceptions always there. The teacher I liked the most is Ashima mam.She was my class co-ordinator and chemistry teacher in second semester. She was always available for all students of the batch and she is very kind and polite to everyone. Her teaching style is unique and understandable. There also some great teachers in electrical department like Abhishek sir which is the faculty of electrical machine and instrumentation. Apart from these two faculties I didn't like the remaining faculties of my department. Some them are the graduates of the Jss college itself. They all have this rude behaviour towards most of the students. There are sessional exams which happens 3 times every semester .To appear in these exams you have to maintain atleast 65-70% attendance. You to give these sessional minimum 2 times and you can give all the 3 if you like but for the internal assessment the average of best two of them is counted .The internal marks is of 50 marks which is total depends on sessional and assignment stuff in which 30 marks is taken from the sessional,10 marks for the assignment and 10 for the attendence and your behaviour. Semester end exams which is external exams happens outside the college in different aktu affiliated college which is of 100marks . So every subject is of 150 marks including internal and external. Many students fail to clear external examination but in internal you will always get minimum 30 out of 50 marks(so don't worry about internal).Course curriculum is very much relevant to the aktu's circular.

Night Life

4

The College cafeteria is good and it has sitting capacity of around 80 people. The timings of the cafeteria is aroun 9 am to 5 pm .And the timings of library is around 9 am to 7 pm on weekdays and 9am to 4pm on weekends. The hostel timings are different for boys and girls. The boys hostel close upto 10 pm an the girls hostel closes around 8 pm. There is no such famous Hangout places in college but there is place near building AB5 which we called 'hawa mahal' where we hangout the most. The night life around the college is not much happening, all area sleeps around 11pm . For the food there is many optins available inside and outside the college. There is line of eatries which just outside the college where you get many things to ea.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Jims is a ipu college, so yeah curriculum depends entirely on ipu University. First year is similar for all btech courses. Or is easy to earn marks in lab and soft skill subjects but maths or physics is hard. Your 12th basics should be very good, else these two subjects will affect your overall SGPA badly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure is good of btech but there there is only thing I don't like is that in btech course the subjects in first year are not related to career of students because there is physics, chemistry other irrelevant subjects present in first year but in second year the course become interesting and relevant. Curriculum is good and prepare well for real world applications. The exams comes frequently every month there is a class test but class tests are moderate on the basis of there difficulty level.

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Honestly speaking I don't like the curriculum of my college. Everything is same which people studied 20 years ago . Only few things has been changed and I don't understand why we need to study about things which don't have any existence in reality. They should focus on current tech and provide more learning opportunities in AI.

course curriculum is little bit out-dated, and improvements are needed in terms of syllabus. timing of exams are ok ok. so many assignments are given which is really hectic because their are deadlines to upload those assignments in google classroom. and one thing i hate about college is 75% attendence is must. due to this we do not get much time for our personal development.
