Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is relatively practical based and that definitely helps us to pursue good jobs in the corporate world but there are some subjects overall which are just there for the sake of the college and have no use in the real world

Internships Opportunities

4

Summer internship camps are held every year and companies like filter copy ,morgan stanley, etc, provides summer internships to the students and the stipend ranges from 10000 to 25000 a month depending on the role The internships are provided in every field of corporate such as finance, marketing and Human Resources as per the interests of the students

Placement Experience

3

The students are eligible for placements after the fifth semester of their graduation and the companies visiting the college include the big 4 of the industry like delliote, KPMG, ey and PWC. The average salary per year ranges from 6-7LPA and the highest package is around 13LPA a year. 70 percent of the students get placed through the college every year . I personally plan to pursue MBA as my post graduation thats why i will not be opting for college placements

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee ranges between 35 thousand to 40 thousand per year depending on the subjects for the respective years for the general category and there is of course scholarship and some form of compensation for the reserved categories that varies from student to student

Campus Life

4

The campus is filled with all the facilities that are required for a college to have and the library has pretty great access to basically every book needed by the students The campus however is smaller as compared to other institutions. The college excels in extracurricular programs and activity in every way possible let be sports or fests

Admission

HR college was my first preference above all the other colleges as it ranked above all of them in terms of faculty, courses as well as the fee structure and the attendance criteria. I did apply to other colleges such as JAI HIND college and MITHIBAI and i got accepted in both of them as well but all my requirements were fulfilled with HR college. The admission process of the college is pretty easy as there is not too much paperwork and multiple portals to fill up multiple forms and can be done very easily by students at home and it costs affectively low as compared to other colleges in terms of the cost of the registration form

Faculty

3

The faculty is definitely biased and shows some favouritism in some cases but overall if the student is performing well there should be no problem. Most of the professors are helpful towards the students as long as the person doesn't have a personal vendetta against them as it hinders the decision making ability of the college faculty. Enough faculty members are there in order to help students so the faculty to student ratio is above average

Night Life

3

As the college is in bombay there are no hostels provided by the college due to lack of space and most of the students opt for private hostels and flats for rent and the accommodation cost is pretry high. But overall the city provides pretty awesome nightlife where students can explore and grow as a person drastically

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.

Placement Experience:

Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.
