Remarks

Co-curricular activities do take place but opportunities are given to limited number of people. Secondly the number of students are too much and we hardly get recognition. The one's who are regular to classes and take part in activities frequently grow well with diversified knowledge in all fields.

Course is designed for the students in a way that they can gather proper knowledge within 3 years while doing internships and attending seminars at same moment. Practical knowledge is focused in the college.

Placement Experience

There are many seminars and internships within college. Even external MNCs organise a seminar and recruit students from 1st semester itself. Stipend varies in all ranges depending on the student and also on working hours.

College Events

UMANG is a traditional event organised by the college it's too famous in the city . Other events Like MUN, Debates and cultural events take place . Intra college MUN and MOD COURTS are organised on monthly basis.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's moderate according to colleges in the city. Admission+ 1st year fee = 34000 2nd year it's 27000 And 3rd year 30000-32000 No books are required all notes are provided. Fees includes assess to everything no extra charge for library or sports arena. Excluding fees for special activities.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides 80-100 % waiving of for the students who perform well and score more than 90%. I'm not aware about the procedure provided for loan but I have read that there are some facilities available.

It has sports arena. An air-conditioned library with huge number of books Canteen Seminar hall Conference hall Media room Society hall Students arena Basketball Cricket turf Computer lab Auditorium

Alumni/Alumna

I am not aware I have not approached them. Seniors are friendly with us. But I not that socialising person so I won't be able comment on this point . I won't be fair speaking on this.

Faculty

The faculties are too knowledgeable, and approachable . The Dean and the HOD for Morning section are too friendly and approachable. They interact with the students very casually and doesn't maintain an old school stereotype relation.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell club which functions in the college itself which is efficient in providing over 67 to 98% of students with placements. This percentage can vary for different years and different courses. The college has been successful in attracting top recruiters like deloitte, wipro, TCS, and leader companies from various other sectors. Packages vary significantly from 4 to 6 LPA up to 24LPA. After getting my degree i am planning to first make sure that i have completed my CA course that i am pursuing alongside. And then going ahead with either a job outside kolkata or open a business in kolkata itself.

Having fun at St. Xavier's

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum aligns well with the professional courses like CA and CMA. it has a lot of classes like value added course, modern indian language etc. which help us grow overall. The seminars are very helpful. We submit presentations on rela world topics which prepare us beyond the clasroom. It could be improved to reduce the excess theory portions. The frequency and timing is wonderful.

Beyond Books : Life at St. Xaviers

Placement Experience:

The students from their 3rd year become eligible for campus placement. Different companies including the Big 4 like Deloitte KPMG etc made offers in 2024-25 and the average package offered in BCOM was 4.5 LPA. I plan on sitting for the placements after i get my degree, that is if im not pursuing my articleship at the time.

I applied to scottish church, jaipuria college and goenka college of commerce Got confirmed from the first two but bhawanipur had the best discipline , teacherd and a smooth easy process and the best campus.it has a ragging free enviroment which is best for me .
