It's a nice college

The college is far from the city. And it is near a forest, because of which sometimes wild animals enter the college campus.But there are guards everywhere to protect the students. Students are not allowed to leave the hostel after 10:30(especially girls). Giving wild animals as a reason. But because of this students are not able to access places like library and computer lab at night. They couldn't even do combined projects because of such stupid rule. Instead of building higher boundary walls and electrocuting the walls. The administration here are trying to lock the students inside their rooms.

Batchelor of design is a new course introduced 4 years ago in this college. The main aim of the course is to make designers who could work better with a group of engineers.We have different courses like ergonomics, typography, science in design, engineering graphics, software skills, industrial design, communication design, material studies, packaging design and branding, service design, sustainable design, design forecasting, design management,and many projects done over a period of 4 years, taught by different professors.

They have placement and job opportunities for the b.tech students. But as the first batch of b.des is yet to pass out placement from college for b.des is not known. But still the students here are getting amazing offers because of their talent. Students have to take up internships in 3rd and 4th year. You have to find your field of interest and apply to any company.

Tarang is the annual cultural fest of IIITDMJ. Students from various colleges come to take part in the competitions. Gusto is the annual sports fest. Abhikalpan is the annual techno-design fest of IIITDMJ.Abhikalpan is one of a kind,as it is India's only techno-design fest.A lot of workshops and competitions take place.

Feasible ,as it is a government college,the fees is not at all as expensive as private colleges.We pay 60k per semester (hostel fees included). Students from reserved category have to pay lower fees.Fees can be paid online or in the bank.

They have scholarship for students from reserved category.Loan is offered by the partner bank here Allahabad Bank.And outstanding students get an opportunity to go to Japan as an exchange student,on expense of college.

There are various clubs here like cricket club, football club, basketball club, badminton club, volleyball club, table tennis club,chess club,carroms club, gaming club they have maches frequently and play against other teams from outside.

Yes, hostel is compulsory for all the students in this college. The hostel fees is added in the total fees which is 60k per semester. There are 4 hostel buildings. Each of 4 floors,they have free unlimited WiFi, canteen, washing machine, geyser,gym, a badminton court, reading rooms. The entry time for hostel is 10:30,and it is more strict with girls about the timing.

The college has a good alumni network. Passed out students come to the college and tell us about their experiences. They often tell us tips and tricks to achieve our goals. The senior students are a bit rude during the first few weeks to the freshers but they then turn friendly. Nothing much of ragging is done here.

The faculty here are really nice, apart from a few,most of them are really friendly and helpful. They are trained professionals who know things about their respective fields. We also have a system of visiting faculties who visit on some weekends and teach us.
