Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum feels old at times but also renewed and new as per new technologies but collages can never be ok par with current industry technologies. But it is decent and I can tell anyone who actually studies this course and not just for exam purpose but for real interest you can have a decent base idea on all important topics so far.

Internships Opportunities

2

Internship opportunities integrated into our course is very low to get internship opportunities you have to meet faculties of your choice at a personal level to get any connections from an exterior company to get any type of internship. I feel like internship process can be streamlined by the college further more

Placement Experience

2

Students in 6th semister become eligible for placements about 70% of the students get placed and there are over 200+ companies but the mass recruiter is Capgemini for our collage who recruits 300+ students every year with an median packages of 2LPA last year ????. The highest package claim is 50L to that 1 student who got placed in a Japanese company not every gets placed that way. I have heard the minimum cgpa required is 7.5

Fees and Financial Aid

Early fees for CSE management is 3.5 lakhs per year and there are extra charges such as student id card charges which is 500 and that are semester examination fees every semester which keep on increasing semester by semester the last time I paid my Semister examination fees it was 3500. Upper from time to time they may ask fees for lab, etc. the only scholarship you get is through case it during admission if you directly get admitted through kcet... And there is the SSP Karnataka state scholarship.

Campus Life

4

There are 3 main fests sargam and deepotsav for annual fest and quantum X for technical fests. But there are also hackathons, ideathons held from time to time... There are many student run social groups and clubs that can you be a part of and many small events are also held by these clubs. The library seems to have a good range of books which can be forward for up to a week and then returned. There is a white range of sports offered in the campus such as cricket football basketball volleyball etc facility such as all over campus free student Wi-Fi and smartboards in every classroom have been provided.

Admission

I applied for PES, bms ,etc as well but the management fees is very high and almost unaffordable around 50 lakhs and more. I felt nhce was closer to my house, decent enough curriculum and had acceptable placements for today's world and the price was somewhat payable compared to others. This collage only accepts management and kcet students. No other way of joining. The admission process is simple go to the admission department choose your course and fill the basic details and give them a cheque or cash(I feel my collage has a lot of black money in cash) and you are admitted. Still the admission personal are very arrogant and money hungry and do not agree to reduce the price at all and they might even increase the price every hour... Very pathetic and money minded college

Faculty

4

Most of the faculties are very approachable and have a helping Nature but there are if you faculties who are not interested to help nor solved the problem. I had in electronics sir named ShashiKiran he is gem of a teacher. He made learning electronics very easy a compared to my other friends in other classes, he was also keen on letting us know the reality of placements and preparation early on in our college life. So that we are very much well prepared well in advance. This year as of 2024 in new examination scheme for continuous internal examination has been announced in which there are two exams for a semester each for 50 marks which will be scaled down to 25 marks and another 25 marks will be internal assessment such as assignments, labs, etc. Now another 100 marks for semister exam will be scaled down to 50 marks now 25+25+50=100 will be the total for each subject... And grade points for each subject will be alloted as per the marks we achieve out of 100....

Interview Experience

2

There are no interviews for this collage. The only 2 ways of entry is kcet and management which obviously does not have any interview process the only criteria is you need atleast 60% in 12th and 10th. The only thing the collage cares about is money. Even if you don't have enough attendance and if you have enough money power you can get through.

Night Life

4

Our college includes 2 messes for boys and girls. There are about three major cafeteria's one is called Udupi which is mainly focused on South Indian tiffins and purely veg. The other is called as much which focuses on Chinese and readymade food and has veg and non veg options. The last but not the least is called as Tango which offers white variety of snacks chats and sandwiches etc

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

The top companies like TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Capgemini IBM tech Mahindra mind tree. The average is 8lpa. The highest 54 LPA. Overall 80% of students get placed in the final year. My plan after degree is to get a good job.
