Course Curriculum Overview

5

There is nothing like i got influenced to the course by someone or something but i was intrested in computers and software so i did choose this course and the college seemed very good for this course so i did join in lpu the curriculum was so good in the college that every student was taken care and even if you lose and aubject there would be strict action taken and also some personal care by the mentor or any other staff there is no area to be improved in the curriculum the college made it the best way possible and the curriculum in lpu was the best i have seen compared to other colleges and coming to exams there is difficulty a bit but the teach was good that you wouldnt feel any such difficulty

Fees and Financial Aid

I have studied in lovely proffesional university most known as LPU and the course i have persued was btech computer science and engineering and the year wise fee is 2.4lakhs so that mean 1.2lakhs per semester but i got a scolarship of 50% so my fee was 1.2lakhs and most student get some sort of scholarship if they make good mark in an exam named lpu next sort of a entrance exam and the registrain fee is 10000 which will be deducted in the main fee after joining the college there's no managment quota or any sort and there aren't even any other fees they provide 2year abroad program too in the sense 2years in india i mean in lpu and 2years abroad and that fee would be extra if you opt to study abroad and coming to the fee of my batchmates many of them got 30% of scolarship so that mean approx 1.8lakhs per semester and some also got 40% and the 50% was a bit rare and the 50% scholarship was the highest there would be no concessions other than scholarship but i guess there is some sports quota in which the college itself waves off some fee but a good merit is mandatory for that eligibility and thats it about all the fee and money matter in lovely professional university

Campus Life

5

This is the best part there no limit for events and sports sort the you want to participate the more they are like there is a full 5 storied building for only activites like dance, boxing, singing and many more and all of those were for free of cost you can just go randomly and join in any club you want and coming to event there would be some or other event happening everyday in the college to be honest at one point i was not even able to look at what all events happening in college there are plenty happening everyday the more you go the more they are

Admission

I have applied for srm, vit, gitam other than lpu and i have got selected for the those colleges and the reason i have chose lpu is in srm i have seen students who have got any placements even after trying so hard so i thought not srm and vit was the next option and that was the first option of mine too but the fee structure over there is too high they are charging 4 to 5 lakhs for just a normal btech course i would have done my bachelor's foreign countries if i would invest that much money and mext was lpu the fee was good college was good placements were also good so chose lpu

Faculty

5

There is nothing like faculty to student ratio sort but there every would a mentor for every particular student you will be provided with his number and you have any doubt or issue you can make a call and he will sort it out orelse there is a portal for student were each student is provided with login details of his/her's and they can raise a complaint and it will be sorted so no issues i don't remember the names of faculty but karanjeet sir was my favourite his teaching is next level the way he explains things in very unique manner comparing everything to daily life was awesome coming to exams there would be normal class tests every week basic and a mid term like half sem test and the final semester thats it

Night Life

5

There is a mall inside the campus itself not even a small one that is as big as a lulu mall in some metro city and the top floor of the mall is gym there are many hangout places in college like there are many named restaurants even inside the college itself for example dominos, cafe coffee day, pizza hut and many more and the hostel timings were no limit for boys and girls should report by 8 inside the hosel and the boys are not allowed outside the campus and there even no need to go outside the campus like the campus itself is of 600 acres so why someone would think of coming out the college is very safe and our college is indias second saffest place after delhi airport as the report of limca book india

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
