I like the green environment here. The college really maintain the nature here.
Class are taken seriously. They don't avoid taking classes.

Dislikes

Mess food and mess fees for 1st and 2nd year students. Because of less number of students in 1st and 2nd year mess fee is very high.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty to student ratio is 1:60. However, a mentor is assigned to every group of 20 students. I chose CSE because of its higher placement opportunities. All the faculties are well qualified. Midterm exams are normal. It's easy to pass them if you study at least 2 hrs a day for academics.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 800000 per year

Placement Experience

From 5th semester students are eligible to get placement. Companies like Infosys, Honda TCS visit here. And few not so popular companies visits. Package offered by them are 3 LPA, 8LPA, 3.5 LPA respectively. 25% students gets placed. I am targeting for placement. So after degree I want to be in office ????

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is decent like all colleges have. You will spend almost 8-9 Lakh in four years of degree including hostel and mess. I didn't get any scholarship but this college introduced me to a lot of scholarship opportunities. Most of them are for home-state students. There is an alumni scholarship too.

Campus Life

Tech fest are conducted in October and April. No fees are taken from students for this. It might be they already include this in college fees. All kinds of books are available in the library. The library is really large. Sports are considered here. Cricket, football, basketball, tennis, table tennis, chess, badminton and volleyball. Also, there are grounds for all of them.

Hostel Facilities

Bed , almirah, table, chair, and a Fan is provided in hostel rooms. For first and second year 3 students stay in a room. From 3rd year you can have single rooms. Meal is not good. You know mess food. Menu is good but taste isn't ????. When you come to college, come to hostel and meet caretaker, fill the form, you are admitted ???????? Also rooms are available outside college. You can get PGs.

Hostel Fee: INR 26000 per year

There was an application form. I filled out the form and submitted it on the website and then sent the screenshot to the professor I was in touch with. You can find the application form on the official website of the college.

It is a private college. Their fees is comparatively higher. And their campus size is comparatively very small. GNDEC is established in 85 acre approx while DAVIET is established in only 18 acre. And there was No wifi provided in hostels in DAVIET.

Placement scenario is good and it is improving since then. TPO looks after this process and it is responsible to call comapnies to the college and discuss about the eligibility of the students who can appear for the placements. For internships, students in the 3rd year appear for it while for placements 4th year students can appear. The average package is approx. 8-9 LPA while the highest has gone to 64 LPA during my college duration. Almost all students get placement.

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

College does provide a decent number of companies to students to get placed but as per seniors Companies come with good package but students fail to grab them. Students are eligible for placement form 7th semester. As data given to us from t&p for this year currently the minimum package is 6 lpa and average is touching 8 but don't get excited it's just the starting months of placement season. My plan is to get a good college for post grad as that was my plan from the start ??

Placement Experience:

Students became eligible for placement after 3rd year. Google, Adobe, de shaw, L&T, Schneider, Amazon etc visit campus The highest package was 42 lacs and the median package is 8.1 lacs. More than 90% get placed.

As this college was nearest to my home . It is. Also one the most popular college in Punjab. It is most affordable college . I didn't applied to any other college . Best engineering college in ludhiana

I applied in pcte college ludhiana and gndec ludhiana i got a confirmed admission in btech in computer science engineering specialized in AI and ML at pcte college ludhiana but i wanted to take admission in gndec as it is more reputed than pcte and also a very old and valued college and i first got admission in btech in electrical engineering in gndec ludhiana i took on this opportunity then changed my branch to btech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The admission process is that you first have to wait for ptu to start online counselling then you can register in the counseling for 2000 rupees and if not selected in every round of ptu counseling there is a last chance at gndec when it organizes a direct counseling session distributing seats merit wise for btech in electrical u must have at least 65-70% in 12th boards exams then if you are offered a branch change then u can by giving 1000 rupees. My admission went smoothly but keep in mind u have to give 70000 rupees at direct counselling or just before admission if u are not availing any type of fee waiver...Read More
