Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is the saving grace of this college, I feel strongly that despite its ups and downs, the curriculum has been very well thought out and is not only relevant, but also actually applicable. Some topics could be cut, and sometimes feel in the way though.

Internships Opportunities

3

There is a wide variety of companies that partner with the college and give students internship opportunities. There is in fact assignments for summer terms that require us to partake in internships but one must keep in mind that these assignments can be done with any related internship and does not have to be done through college affiliated ones.

Placement Experience

3

Placement is available from the fifth semester and seems to be that it is oversold. They don't have as good a system as they claim to is what is generally the opinion of previous students at the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees I am paying currently are 2 lakh per year Registration fees of 70000 apply at the beginning during the first semester. Total fees for overall course of bachelor of computer application IT for Healthcare is 670000

Campus Life

3

The fests held are mostly organised by student forums, with basic help from the college, but are quite energetic and well executed. The library is very well stocked and has a fairly accessible system to using/borrowing books. Each classroom has either a projector or a massive monitor along with a greenboard and AC facilities Extracurriculars are lacking from the college's side but the student forums make up for it

Admission

I applied to Saint Joseph's as well but I was quite late and joined Jain because they had a few seats left. I didn't apply to enough colleges to get rejected per se. The admission process is theoretically not complicated, talk to the office, pay the initial amount, fill out some documents and submit them at a documentation "event" of sorts. But the office could use a new set of directives considering everything takes an incredible amount of time and hassle to be processed

Faculty

3

The faculty at Jain are very loosely screened and are an assortment of good to bad, the good professors are very well informed with a strong list of achievements to back them, but the bad ones are so bad they confidently teach misinformation and get upset when questioned.

Night Life

2

There is a wide selection of cafeterias and other hang outs within crawling distance of the campus, in fact there are nearly 10 different food stalls immediately outside the gates. There are a handful of malls nearby, easy access to a nearby metro station and a bus stop as well.

Jobs in campus placements are constrained, with only the final semester being eleigible. Few firms visit, with moderate packages. Companies like cognizant, deloitte, infosys, tcs and others do visit our college for hiring. i will be pursuing my higher educarion rather than getting a job with moderate salary

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester onwards. The college invites companies from IT services, startups, and core technology domains. Some of the companies that usually visit include mid-level software firms and service-based companies, offering roles such as software developer, data analyst, and testing engineer. The highest package offered recently was around 10 LPA and the average package is about 6LPA. Nearly 60–70% of students get placed every year. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a job in the IT or AI field and later pursue higher studies.

Students will be eligible for internships from the fourth sem of their course. There are many big companies who have visited the campus and made really good offers but if you want a good package the level of difficulty to get into this will also be high. The average package for BCA is 3,00,000 per annum. As per University information their placement rate is 91 percent. After getting the degree I'll be looking for a good company to work for and gain my knowledge.
