KLE Society’s Raja Lakhamagouda Science Institute is an Autonomous college in Belgaum( or Belagavi) city, Karnataka. The Science wing of the already existing Lingaraj Arts College was later named Raja Lakhamagouda Science Institute after the name of Sardar Raja Lakhagouda Basavaprabhu Sirdesai who contributed a lot to the development of the college.
KLE Society’s Raja Lakhamagouda Science Institute was established in 1935 with a mission to provide quality Science Education. The college has been accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ Grade and approved by the All India Council Of Technical Education(AICTE).

The institute is affiliated with Rani Channamma University, Belagavi. In the year 2013, Autonomous status was given to the institute by the UGC. - Sir C V Raman Scholarship (For meritorious students pursuing science education) - Amount of Rs 5000/- is awarded to meritorious students at the undergraduate level.
- Sanchi Honnamma Scholarship - Amount of Rs 2000/- is awarded to girl students pursuing a Bachelor of Science(B.Sc).
- Kittur Rani Chennamma Puraskar - Girls students who have BPL cards are reimbursed for their CET cell fees.
- Rajeev Gandhi Loan Scholarship - Students with annual family income less than Rs 2.5 lakhs who have loans, Government pays the interest subsidy for the study period.

Following are the facilities offered by the institute to cater to the need of the students and the faculty members:
- Library: The institute library consists Textbooks, Reference books, Journals, and magazines all are available for students to read. Other written materials such as Handbooks, Reports, Data books, and encyclopedias are also available. The library can be accessed by students of both KLE Society’s Raja Lakhamagouda Science Institute and Lingaraj Arts College
- Hostel: 5 hostels are functioning under the KLE society. 1 boys hostel and 4 girls hostel are present on the campus for students. All the students who wish to live in the hostel are given accommodation and the vacant seats are filled by sister institutions. The mess in the hostel provides hygienic and nutritious food to the students at all times.
- College Canteen: The institute has a very spacious canteen in the middle of the campus which is easily accessible for all the students. A variety of foods and drinks are there for the students to enjoy in between classes.
- Computer Laboratory: A computer lab is there for students to use for many purposes. Many computers are put in place so that students face no hassle.
- Laboratory- A Laboratory with all the modern apparatus and machines are made available to the students so that experiments can be done. Lab assistants provide students with proper assistance so that they can use the lab without any hassle.
- Wi-fi Campus: The campus has a Wi-fi connection so that students can access the internet for academic purposes.
- Playground- For sports enthusiasts, a big playground is available on the college campus. Many sports events are organized every semester so that students can take part and have fun. The ground can be used for many sports which can help them to improve their health and personality.
- Gymkhana - A gymkhana was built-in 2004 for the students. Many latest pieces of equipment are available for the students to exercise.
