Likes

Library and other learning resources of Assam University are like one of the best in India.
Faculties again are like handpicked among the best of the best.
Such a scenic campus that one can't take their eyes off.

Dislikes

Administration people are little lethargic and we have to run to admin office thrice for a single work.

Course Curriculum Overview

For somebody who feels they are stuck in life, shoul opt for law as law will bring all the thrill and entertainment that they want. I am entertained by the kind of academics that we have. It's so lovely that we have to given everything during the classes and everything else will fall automatically to us.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Assam University is among the top state run universities and still the fees is just 15000 a year. Loans and scholarships are plenty as Assam University has a scholarship cell that assist students to learn which all scholarship they can avail.

Campus Life

Our library is like the grandest of the grandest and guess what we have the top playfields as they are enot just scenic but capable of hosting multiple sports on the same field at the same time. Our department annual fest is Aikya and university annual fest is called AUSKRITI.

Admission

Being from Assam NLUO and NLU Assam were certainly my choices for law but destiny had its own say. Assam University though admissions are not easy as 80+ percentage are required and students also are assessed by an interview before the admission letter is handed.

Faculty

All the faculties come to the class with a well prepared note and they never leave until they are done. They are so amazing and charming personalities that I just love getting engaged by their words. Not just me but their mesmerizing charm can give goosebumps to anyone.

Night Life

ISKCON Temple Silchar is close to campus and also Gandhibag Park and Bandarpur Fort. Food garden and China Town are two of the best restaurants which are same vicinity as our university. Hostel food is sometimes boring and therefore students go and have their meal at these places.

Journey at NLUJAA

Placement Experience:

From the 5th year students become eligible for placement even many got PPO before completion of course. Khaitan & CO once visited in the campus , highest package is not disclosed , average can be 800000 per year . This year many got PPO . My plan after graduation to do LLM and prepare for higher level exams .

NLU Assam Campus Review

Placement Experience:

as the batch size is very less ( 60 students) most of the students opt for higher studies and judicial services and very few students go for placements and internships. the univerity call some law firms but very few come due to location. but students get paced by their own hardwork.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course a very decent number because the course i choose which is B.A LL.B(H) i feel it interesting to study. It is quite useful in the real world because we mainly deals with the study of the society,state and the government, laws, political institutions, history, etc. The areas of improvement are in the study of modern history rather than ancient history. The frequency of exam timing is limited, we have to have a good time management skills to ace the exams.

An honest confession

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was interested in this field as it's a very interesting field as we get to know a lot of different cases and problems which are shut down from our daily life. However in my course of time , the curriculum that we have is not helping us to be prepared for our future practice as the faculty members don't have great knowledge of what they are teaching as well as we are not provided with any specific notes. We are not even given assignments which will make us active more.
