Remarks
The overall admission process was easy and smooth going, there was no hectic suffering for the students. The application form and all the information were provided on the college website, so it was convenient for the students who stayed far from the place of the institute to get the information. There were at least 5 seats reserved for minorities, like ST, SC, etc. The interview was held one on one with the professors. They asked us questions about laws, the Indian constitution, etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum surrounding our course is very helpful for any law student. The teachers are very friendly but the teaching could be better if they do it in English since not all students understand the native language of Assam. Two exams and one assignment were given to us during the semester. The exams were moderate, not so hard neither easy to crack, if you study properly anyway you will pass.
Internships Opportunities
There are several internship opportunity that is being provided to us by the college, the well known advocates are choose to give us guidance and help us to work under their wings. To understand the law making process better, it's helps the student to have a knowledge as to what their career might look like after few years.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is kind of high considering the infrastructure of the college, a lot can be done in the college, but the examination fees are also quite high. There are different national and state-level scholarships. There is no practical knowledge provided to us even though there is a moot court right there in the college but we aren't allowed to use it.
Campus Life
There are clubs, and good infrastructure. Things can be better, there is no space for the students to sit and relax, no field, and no benches outside to sit and discuss. I see in the movies students sitting under the tree, sipping cold coffee and doing their work but there is no space for us to do this thing. There are annual programs. There is a library where students can find books.
Interview Experience
Yes for the admission there was an interview which was held one on one with one of the professors. It was a very healthy and none stressful interview, the professor was quite nice and open about discussing topics. I studied the political science questions and some questions on the Indian constitution and went for it.
