Course Curriculum Overview

4

I think the cirriculum was good. It included all the technical aspects. All the main subjects were there, labs were also taken. The only problem was we were not given that much practicle knowledge as we should have been but that is also due to covid as colleges were closed.

Placement Experience

4

When i joined the college, it had no placement programe. Same was the case till 3rd year but in my 4th year, the college brought in state level teachers who would teach us for competative level interviews and help us develop skills. The college started bringing in many companies like DHL, KP reliable, Cognizant, mega rubber, etc. most of these companies offered around 15000 to 25000 rupees. I got selected in two(kp reliable and one was local in the same city.

Fees and Financial Aid

My fee was 82000 in total per year including the examination fee. This 82000 had tution fee plus exam fee plus lab charges. Some of the classmates were also given scholarships of around 50 to 55 thousands and the rest 20 they have to pay by themselvef. If you had done ploy from the same college then the fee per year of some students were also around only 40000 to 55000. There were hardly any other charges. Late fee fine of Rs 50 to 100 was also imposed per day and can be removed in some cases after writing a application having proper reason.

Campus Life

5

The infrastructure was good. We also had fests and fresher parties. Oh yeah and the best part there was no raging. The seniors were nice and would not bother any junior and would hang out together. The library, oh boy you should see it now, its beautiful. The mess was not that good at the time but now it is. I have also seen the boys hostel and its somewhat good. The food quality of mess is not that good, how do i know? Well it turns out you can eat in the mess if you can pay, and so i did twice in my college days and it was not good. The labs are great too, espically the computer ones

Admission

The fee of this college was comparatively low and the location was also near my home which would have saved me a lit of money. Most colleges didn't provided the course inwanted to do or some had bad reputation. My college at the time dosen't had that much bad reputation as compared to some other colleges. Also i had my school seniors in this college

The teachers of btech department was pain in the ass. All they care about was attendance of students and would not know how to teach. Half of the time they will teach the topic wrong. In first year everything was good as the syllabus was mostly like 12th class. In 2nd year when technical subjects were introduced, the teachers were not that good at teaching and would download ppt from free source to teach. In 3rd year due to covid we were promoted in one semester without any online classes and in the other semester by giving online exam and classes. In 4th year the college was hell. The teachers I don't like or hate are Sachin sir and Vinod sir and Anshuman Sir. Vinod sir said why did you go for cycling on a mountain. Dod i tell you too? He said this after i along with my friend went for training for our upcoming nationals and one of my friend died after been hit by a car. Anshuman sir supported him in this. They intentionally gave me less marks even though i did all the assignments and gave all the exam with full honesty and on time. Sachin sir targated me for attendance for other students, he used to get angry on for some other students attendance.

Night Life

4

I would not recommend to rome freely inside the campus at night as the forest is right behind it and any wildlife can be encountered. But outside the college there are many world class cafes and small restraunts and it is also a very rich area and so yeah nightlife is somewhat good around the campus but not in the campus. The boys were allowed to go out at night no questions asked but for girls hostel the timings for gate closed was 8PM for safety reasons

Placement Experience:

In GEU placements are like such that we don't have to bother at all. We are approached by placements cell in the 5th semester and then are trained for the whole month and then university urges us to go for internships to have the required exposure and have a CV which can impress the recruiters first hand. Thus, we get placement which median as of now is 8.5 lakhs.

Specific aspects of the circullum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the computer science department as I love knowing about the computer and the efforts of making daily life problems easy and best thing is that if know how to use the computer well you can earn well enough of money in this world the world only cares about that you have money or not if have they will give you respect if don't have it they treat you like shit.

Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester of Btech course. Companies like BigOH, GrowUp, L&T, Rubico, QI Technologies, Mahindra, BEL, etc. visit the campus for on-campus placements and the no. of placements in the year 2023-24 was 113. The placement details are given in the official website of the college. The highest package offered was 12 LPA by BEL and the lowest was 3 LPA. Most of the students go for GATE and don't sit for campus placements. I would go for GATE for higher studies.

Campus placements starts after completion of degree although students apply for internships from 3rd year, many companies like amazon, google, Microsoft, flipkart, TCS, wipro, and many core companies like dr. Reddy, relience visit our campus for placement. But it becomes really difficult to get placement in a core company because of competition almost 80-90% students of my branch got placed most of them in non core. Highest package go around 50 lpa and average go around 15-20 lpa. I am also planning to get placement after completing my degree
