About GRDCS
Dr. GR Damodaran College of Science located in Coimbatore is an autonomous institute established in 1988. GRDCS is affiliated to the Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and is recognized by UGC and NAAC with A Grade. It has been granted AUTONOMY by the UGC from 2004-2005 and obtained the ISO 9001:2015 certification. The college offers UG, PG, M.Phil and Ph.D courses across different streams including Management, Computer Science and Information Technology, Biotechnology, Visual and Mass Communication, Commerce and International Business, Tamil literature and Psychology etc. Courses like MBA and MCA are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programs are done on the basis of merit and entrance exams. For admissions to MBA courses, MAT scores are considered.
Since its commencement, Dr. GR Damodaran College of Science has grown from 27 students in two UG courses to over 5000 Students in numerous Undergraduate, Post Graduate, and research (M.Phil. / Ph.D.) programs. GRDCS Coimbatore Admissions
Admissions at Dr. GR Damodaran College of Science is based on the candidate's scores in qualifying examinations. Students are required to obtain a decent percentage in the qualifying exam to become eligible for admission and the admission mode is an offline process. The college also conducts its own entrance test for admission to courses such as MCA, M.Sc(Biotech) and MBA. However for admissions to MBA courses, MAT scores are also considered. Admissions to all UG courses are merit based.

I choose this college because of they consider our creative mind and help us to grow in our side activities like business editing, videography, and all and the events conducted in our colleges are very, very useful for of future things to understand about the business and everything

- Culture and events such as scib events are mostly enjoyable and knowledgeable. Interactive events like face to face are mostly enjoyable and it considered as one of the memorable moments in life.
- More celebrities(actor and actress) will be invited. So that it shall considered as a precious moment in life long where we dont get opportunity even though we are exist in the world.
Dislikes
- Well, were we go the favour’ism and group’ism will be coming back along with us. Just we need to be concentrated in our own aim and goal
- Hostel food is well goof. No doubt in that . But it was repetitive. The menu will be repeated again and again. Forsure you will be getting fed up.
Admission:
First of all i have applied to the both psg cas and sri krishna arts and science. I get rejected by psg by low cut off. And i get skasc but the hostel is didint allocated to me. Due to lack of rooms. I have choosed GRD college of science. One of the top 100 nirf ranking in india of arts and science colleges in the year 2023.
Likes
- I like the events that are conducted by the college
- They teach us extra soft skills like tally
Dislikes
- The collage infrastructure is small compared to other collages
- The management collect us extra 4500 as book fees
Admission:
I applied to PSG and Sri Krishna but I didn't get psg and also compared to Sri Krishna I have better placement offers in this college so I chose GRD college and except for infrastructure everything in GRD is good even the infrastructure is not too bad we have a green environment. Yes I'm rejected by PSG and Christ University In PSG I don't have a good percentage to join and I have not performed to well in interviews. There is no admission Process you should score above 60% in the 12 board exam and you have to pay an admission fee you can also apply through online and offline applications are also available.

- The infrastructure which is quite good and calm with lot of trees and neatly maintained
- They opt good placement companies and try to give lot of placement opportunities for students to get good package

- They won't give leave on Saturday maximum of Saturday will be working day
- The college won't allow inside u without I'd card which make quiet annoying
Admission:
Because my friend joined there so I have also joined there and the course only few college offer this course so I choose over there and the college infrastructure and the freedom their is no restriction for dress code

- The college does not have any ragging or student fights at any times. College is free of any violent activities
- The parking facility is very large and can accommodate a 250+ cars
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is really old. Although it doesn’t play a very major part, the lack of good facilities make it hard at times
- The faculty at times feel very outdated in the knowledge of their subject.
Admission:
The admission process was really easy due to the fact that I had a high percentage percentage My 12th. That admission process was well taken care of by the management. Also, the certifications and the course completion process is relatively easy compare to other colleges as a brief by the passed out student.

- I personally liked the computer science department because the infrastructure of the building is good
- Even the teachers are also very friendly and will support and guidance the students

- Constant construction which is happening
- Some parts of the campus are not yet properly constructed

I personally applied the admission through GRD website and the process was simple and as college started, for students who applied via online had to do some procedure which wasn't hectic at all and even the faculties and the staff were cooperative if there is some delay from our side

- The gym facility in the college is not that great
- The washrooms need to be more near and tidy

Eligibility- 12th pass 60% and should take IP or computer science as a secondary subject. You can find the admission application either online via going to the college. In my personal opinion, there is no need to improve the admission process.

- The campus is small in area and there aren't much amenities.
- There is always water shortage in the campus.

The application form is available on the website of the college. The admission process starts as soon as the results are announced. The fee and everything is discussed during the admission. There aren't any entrance exams. The seat is given based on the 12th marks.

- There are a variety of courses you can choose from the options are vast and they provide quality education
- The most liked thing in the college personally is the amount of activities which they offer apart from academics, it helps you develop as a person and enhance your values
Dislikes
- The thing I've disliked is the lack of maintenance in the sports department and ground and the canteen food is subpar
- Some of the faculty are rude to certain students and refuse to listen to their sides of the story and emphasize that they are right.

The admission process was quite simple, you require to fill out an online form and get that print out to the college during the admission date, and they call you to a room and give you course options available and you select them and that's it, the eligibility is 12th qualified, the application forms and other details are available on the college website. The exams are quite targeted towards important topics and are easy if you are aware of the topic, they can improve the admission process if they employ more individuals to streamline the process

The fee for the BCom course has not been mentioned, you can register and download the brochure for the detailed information about the course.
You need to appear for MAT examination or its equivalent and have to clear it with valid scores for taking admission to MBA.
