Fee Structure includes tuition fee, mess fees hostel fees. Fees may vary based on category (general, SC, ST). First year fees is often high due to security deposits etc. which are mostly refundable at the end of the course.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is quite vibrant and active. Main attractions include the cultural fest 'Rendezvous' and tech fest 'tryst'. The library is well stocked with books and is air conditioned. Also one of three hostels has a night mess.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel have old construction but are well maintained. The hostel provides basic furniture as well. There is high speed wifi in hostels. Also there is 24/7 electricity supply. The food quality in the mess is average with menu fixed on weekly basis.

Admission

I chose this college mainly because of the prestigious name that it carries. It is one of the most premier engineering institute in India. I also chose due to research opportunities that it provides plus the campus culture of coding.

Faculty

3

IIT offers a good faculty to student ratio making the faculties quite approachable and supportive. Courseworj is very tough which includes regular tests, mid terms and end terms. The curriculum can improve in terms of real world relevance.

Night Life

5

One of three hostels has a night cafe which opens at 9 pm and closes at 4 am. There are no curfews in hostels so the night life is quite good. Also the library remains open till 3 am for students to study

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

Placement Experience:

The placements are in good terms, many students get a placement with nice package. Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd Semester. TCS made about 7 offers as far as I know. One can expect the highest package of 2.5crore and an average of 200000. About 80% of students gets placement because of the skills they learned wheres the rest 20% are only at college to do mischievous acts. After getting the degree, I will find a job and then after enough capital I will start my own startup.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
