Remarks

The campus life is awesome. students parties are there. almost 1:1 gender ratio is there. no racial religion gender or color discrimination is there. only communal harmony inside the college.so many cultural activities are organized by students union and also both the political parties. social service programmes are also thereby these three groups and also NSS(national service scheme).

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

APJ Abdul Kalam KTU curriculm . Semester wise exams. One sem with 6 papers and atleast 2 labs. Exams will be of 3 hours of 100 marks. 45% pass marks. University exam only available for those who have internal marks of 45% in total. The exam structure is most of the times relaxing and giving necessary intervals between the exams. but the invigilation is perfect giving no loopholes for malpractices . also the seating is to be mentioned. the seating is so much randomized so that you barely have 20 students for examination in your room and the only maximum of eight will be having your paper.

Placement Experience

4.5

There are so many job opportunities. above 30 companies visit our college for campus placements. even Mercedes, ibm and infosys visit our college. it branch has a number of campus placement seats greater than the number of students. that is another reason for choosing information technology in our college.

College Events

5

Almost all the cultural festivals are celebrated inside the college. onam, christmas , Ramzan etc. also college conducts intra-college cultural fest and also intercollegiate techno-cultural fest named aagneya (aagneya.co.in) and also there will be atleast of 1000 registrations . in the March 2018 it was the eleventh aagneya that took place . aagneya is also the pride of our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The government engineering college barton hill is a government college and thereby admission is by rank and fee structure is very convincing. during admission it takes almost of 15k but then next year onwards it only has INR 8320 only per-year and a 700 for students union activities. the other colleges on the region (pvt.) has a fee structure of 75k. so we can say in our college fees is feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships in the college. mainly it helps poor students those who are brilliant with their marks. and loan facility is provided for all the students if needed. but loans are not taken mostly as the fees are only 9k

Campus Life

4

Due to low space, there are no sports grounds. but college makes use of public grounds and carve out great sportspersons. there are sports achievements listed on college website anyone can check it themselves ( gecbh.ac.in )

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni Networks are awesome. The college born on 1999 , So there is not so much alumni . But the existing one is amazingly working. Seniors are friendly. They care everyone as their brothers. Good campus life.

Faculty

4.5

over 65% of faculties are iit alumni. we are grateful to have such dedicated faculties in our college. they complete the syllabus very well. even some lectures are boring but majority not. faculty helps us on extra-curricular activities also. they are so helpful and nice behavior.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
