Review on my College

Overall FIEM is a good choice for every student. FIEM took care of every student carefully. The faculties are very responsible to every student out there. Students in FIEM campus can lead a free life.

There was multiple courses in FIEM, like B.Tech(Bachelor of Technology), BCA(Bachelor of Computer Application), MCA(Master of Computer Application), Hospital Management etc. But mainly FIEM is a technological college in Sonarpur Station Road. If I talk about exam structure, in four years of B.Tech course, there is 8 semester exams. There is two semesters per year of B.Tech course.

No. FIEM does not provide any internship. Placements was good there. But in our time(2018 pass out batch) ,students felt a placement problem. I think IT market was down in that phase. But from the beginning i.e. from 2002, there was good placement records going on year by year in FIEM. In our next batch(2019) also, there was a huge placement record in FIEM.

There are many many events celebrated in FIEM. There is Technical festival in FIEM named "Phoenix". In this technical festival, there are many technological events as well as non technological events arranged by the official technical club of FIEM named "Xplorica". Events like Autonomous robotics, gaming, balloon shooting etc.

If I talk about fee structure, I can say, it was not feasible but also not expensive compare to other technical colleges. Every semester we had to the fees. It was around 40000 rs (forty thousand) per semester.

Yea. A good scholarahip was there for meritorious but not that much rich students. Bank loan facilities was also there for clearing the fees of every semester, and it was for every eligible students in the college.

No extracurricular activities but there was NSS subject in our first year. In that, we had to work for or take care of or help the orphanage, the old age home, or to enhance the women's right , women's empowerment etc. The labs were well decorated but there was insufficient instruments in our time. The lab assistants were also very helpful to manage the labs.

No I have not opted for hostel. But by FIEM side, there was not any hostel facilities. FIEM does not own any hostel. But there was Paying guest rooms nearby from FIEM. Boys' paying guest rooms and girls' paying guest rooms both are all around.

Recently an alumnus program in our Electronics and Communication Engineering department was organised by our faculties and the present ece students. That was just great. We all ex students are thankful for that amazing program organised by them. The ex students who are seniors of us, very very helpful to us. They always keep in touch with us.

Faculties of FIEM are very helpful to their students. They are very responsible about the students' career. They teach the students,with very responsibility in them. They clear doubts with so simple examples. For that every student can understand everything clearly.
