Likes

Teachers were very supportive and kind. Always there to help you
Library was really big and had books for almost every subject
The front lawn like you can sit there for whole day😅.

Dislikes

Commerce department was under construction So we don’t attend a single class in our department
Rest I guess everything was fine for me.
No outsiders were allowed Ig that some days students from other college should be allowed

Course Curriculum Overview

The course lack technological knowledge although there were some practical subjects but You have to practical knowledge to get good knowledge. Our college societies were very good you can join them for some experience. Exams of your course were no so difficult

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 18000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships and available since from 1st year . You can join them. But disadvantage is that there is very few companies that offer stipend otherwise mostly companies offer reward and they are just like work and you will get a certificate and thats it. So mostly internship that I didn't Was from linked in.

Placement Experience

When you reach in 3rd year you became eligible for Placements. There are N no of companies visiting with good package like deliotee, KPMG ,WTW etc Higest package offered at our time was 25lakh. Around 40% got placed. I also got placed but I have yo purse my masters so didn't join the company.

Fees and Financial Aid

At My time Fee was 18000 yearly and got scholarships every year of 10000 and Fee was same for everyone. I have available scholarships of NSP. Since DRC does dont comes under DUSU so fee is increasing very rapidly.

Campus Life

There are many college society, Clubs you can join then To get holistic experience. I was also part of many societies like comneur, Youth india Foundation ,Cyber cell and many more. There were no Ac in our class but was there in science departments. There was NCC NSS and other sports team in our college.

Admission

Very big reason to choose this college is that its in north campus. And this was the only northcampus college I got admission into. And this was the only clg I opt for. Admission in this college is through CUET only. So for that you have to appear for Cuet.

Faculty

Faculty was good but sometime its like you reached college and teacher id informing you that she is not taking the class today. Apart from that teachers of our department were very good,Supportive. Exams was help semester wise and for 20 marks you have to submit assignment and give test. Rest There was exam for that

the whole reason i chose jims kalkaji is beacuse of placements it is popular for placements it offers multiple placements after your 3rd or 4th year of specializtion different multiple companies come here to pick students.

I like friendly and comfortable campus environment. student from different background intreact with each other
The college provides a good acedemics foundation and opptunities for overall development. being Part of delhi university also give student exposure to different events

Dislikes

some classroom and campus facilitues need improvement
placement oppotunites can be improved, esecially for student looking for better corporate exposure.
the evening college schedule can something be inconveibient because many acitvity and oppotunities are generally more accessible during regular college hours

I would rate the course curriculum around 4 out of 5. The curriculum is well structured and covers important subject related to commerce, accounting, finance, economics and business. Life at South Campus

Likes

The crowd at venky is great, diverse crowd.
The campus is well maintained and is one of the bests at DU.
Opportunities provided to students are great

The attendance policy is a little strict for 1st and 2nd year

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.

Likes

College is improving day by day teaching faculty is also helpful it recently got A++ NAAC credition as well
Overall college is good if you have good peer group.
Near to north campus so doesn't really feel much of headache if you want to visit regularly.

Dislikes

Shadara is not a good place to spend your college life.
Evening college crowd has made the reputation of the college bad.
Near by area is not safe for Girls in late hours.

Placement Experience:

6th sem is the first time college placement are proceeded . Companies are not impressive and mostly are entry level jobs such as cold calling and such which they offer. Highest package was 4 lpa and avg was 2.5 only. Around 60 percent students gets placed.

The online learning platform is easy ans simple to use students can acces lecture and assigments and study materials anytime
Faculty mambers provide clear guidance through online sessions and study materials they are supportive
They procides recording that was very usefull when we will not attend the live class

Dislikes

Since the classes are in online and also there are some techical issues while taking classes that will interupt classes
placement support is limited in online classes so students need to search for internships and job oppertunities on their own
Its deffecult to connect student coordinators while we wnat exam timetable etc they are too slow

I choose BCOM because the want to take ACCA after BCOM it will helps to improve my career and give a better job and also BCOM is the basices of ACCA like law, financial managment, taxation etc .The curriculam provide strong fountation for students who wamts to pursue higher studies such as M.COM , MBA and professuonal couses. BCOM helps to understanding real world bussiness practices , accounting sytem etc . on;ine study material recordimg leture and assigments also make flexible for students to study their own pace. exams are usually conducted semister wise the difficulty level 0of exam are moderate if students were attend the class regulary and prepare well

i dont like any thing in this college

there is a green gaurden in my colleges old campus
we have a big ground in our college which i like i can play football there
they make an football ground in old campus which is good

Dislikes

techers are not good in teacing they just want to let it go the classes
my college was too small and the classes are not properly furnished for my class size
there is no place for sit in the shade or to make our mind diverted or have fun and the canteen is worst of old campus

i am from commerce background i want to do eco honers but in 12th i dont have mathematics so i cant then i decideid for b. com honers but i aloted the b.com program which is my 3rd priority umm i leanrd new things in my ncc and with my friends there are very less college activities to i dont know how to make my college life good and make some experiences they can make us travel with them to the real buiseness or any factory or a relay paper work from any company i want to do a camp in jab which is good for my ncc life but it is during my exams thats why i cant did that camp yet

i liked their faculty member and staff , they are played with students and taught as a friend
i liked canteen service and their foods it is hygienic but canteen infrastructure is not good
i liked their ground its have bollyball court basketball court badminton court and cricket ground also and they provide gym in college

i didn't like their campus because its not too much big
and college provide which lift service is not working properly
their bathroom is not too good and not too much hygienic

i choose bcom hons and all teacher are provide their 100% on their courses but neet to improve in practical exam because some computer not working and teacher teach students in one computer but there is no difficult paper according to time some time it's lengthy.

I applied to jnu, du, pondicherry university, university of Hyderabad and bhu. I got in all of them except jnu. After jnu , i found du to be other great option for pursuing masters . There are multiple colleges in du itself and I got drc according to my preference and cutoff. I put drc on fifth preference and its a good choice considering its ranking and overall prestige. To be honest I only applied for Delhi University through CUET and I selected many colleges from DU like Miranda, Hansraj, Lady Shri Ram, Kirori Mal, many from the south and off campuses and in the first phase I got this college DRC and this course BA Programme English and History and I thought that this was an interesting course so that's why I chose this subject and college but if I could have upgraded my choices there was a chance that I could get seleced in other college but I chose to go with this option and some of my friends also got that college. I did not applieed for any other university/college except DU. To get to DRC college we have to attempt the CUET entrance exam from which we can get admission here by filling this college in your preference.For general category the cutoffs get so high for specifically north campus colleges, But as I belong to ST so that way it was a bit easier to get admission....Read More

This college is under the University of delhi and they have a totally different method of choosing their students as compared to other private colleges or universities.
