Course Curriculum Overview

The cse course not only have the subjects realted to computer science but also contain the subjects which are useful for our general knowledge.The curriculumn of griet is updated every year, they always try to add new subjects which are important to students both in core subjects and general knowledge.overall griet has a good curriculumn

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 130000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The actual tution fee for one year in griet is one lakh thirty thousand rupees.Currently i have paid the first and second year fees.The students have fee reimbursement is applicable for the people who are SC/ST and the peole who got a rank below 10000.I didn't get any fee reimbursement because my rank was above 10000.people who get a rank below 10000 get a full fee raimbursement.My friend got 4k rank and his fee is just 6k per year.

Campus Life

the recent fest that happened in the college was Navotsav that was a great event. The event was successful and around 2k to 3k students have attended the event.there are many books in library which help us to increase our academic skills and general knowledge.There are both indoor and outdoor games in griet.there are tournaments conducted in griet for various sports.there are many clubs in griet like Rhythms , spirals ,IEEE,AAC etc .There are student run social groups like street cause.

Admission

Actually i thought to get into IIT's or NIT's but i counld not make because the mains and advance exams were really hard.So i have decided to join the loca engineering colleges and according to my rank in eamcet i got the placed into this college.I have applied for many colleges which were located in the other states but when compared to them griet has a better average package and the campus is really good.

Faculty

each class have around 60 to 70 students and there is one faculty for each subject the faculty of griet are very experienced.each class have 2 to 3 mentors and one coordinator they always help us in all circumstances and there are two sems in each year each sem has two mid examinations , internals and externals.The exams are very easy and only few people fail in the exams.

The curriculum is not the best i would say There are many flaws in it Although the say the syllabus keeps changing but the changes are not that much The teaching method is also old school methods U can expect an exam every 1.5 months The difficulty is also high

Thinking Beyond Academics and Placements , life at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement here are going on pretty well considering the recession that hit the market in recent years,student become eligible for placements from the first sem of their final year , typically 7th semester for single degree students (BE) and 9th semester for dual degree students (Msc+BE),as per the recent cycle around 310+ companies including Google, MIcrosoft,Goldman sachs etc. had visited campus with offer majorly ranging from 18 to 27 lpa , the highest package last cycle (domestic) was for 65lpa and average aroun 21 lpa. The perecentage of students getting placed is above 80% and remaining usually go on for pursuing masters or already have a PPO from the Practice School Internship.I personally will be sitting for placements in my last year and will be hoping to land a good offer.

Internships starts from spring break of 4th sem and placements start from spring break of 6th sem ( if you don't get a PPO ) Many big companies like Microsoft , Oracle , DeShaw and Qualcom visit the college. More than 80% of student that are eligible for placements get placed while the others get off campus placements or opt for higher studies. My plans after getting th degree depends on the CTC of package I get offered. If it is not upto my expectation I will pursue higher education abroad.
