Course Curriculum Overview

4

The aspects that influenced my decision to choose this college are : 1. NIRF Ranking 2. Future scope 3. Placement data 4. Backed by strong alumni network I wouldn't say its the best but it does gives exposure to real world application through labs , alumni meetups , seniors interactions and many more. To improve course cirriculum they should remove unwanted subjects and add more subjects that are branch specific and helpful in future. The frequency of exams are : 1. Minors when the teachers wishes too take , it can even be a quiz. 2. Mid sems 3. End sems They timing of exams are appropriate and the difficulty is good for a college student.

Internships Opportunities

3

The companies that come for plaxements are the companies that also come for internships. The internship process starts in the spring break of 2nd year and goes on all through out the year. Most of the students get internships which later convert to PPO's

Placement Experience

4

Internships starts from spring break of 4th sem and placements start from spring break of 6th sem ( if you don't get a PPO ) Many big companies like Microsoft , Oracle , DeShaw and Qualcom visit the college. More than 80% of student that are eligible for placements get placed while the others get off campus placements or opt for higher studies. My plans after getting th degree depends on the CTC of package I get offered. If it is not upto my expectation I will pursue higher education abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees I am currently paying is 8000 USD becuase I have joined through DASA quota. The tution fee is 8000 USD and the hostel fee is common for all ( 42500 INR ). My classmates who joined through JEE route pay a compartively low fee of 62500 and hostel fee of 42500. My classmates who belong to ST category do not pay tution fee and only pay hostel fee. There are many schlorships available based on family income and merit.

Campus Life

2

The campus life over here is not that lively. There are only two major fests that is Technozion in the month of October and Spring Spree in the month of March The library is really big and diverse. There are alot of variety of books and we mostly find every genre of book we wish for. Yes there are clubs , but most of them are not that active. But they contribute to the growth of the college.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel room provided are really small. It's a two sharing room for most of the students and each student gets one half of the cupboard. The washrooms are poorly maintained and are dirty most of the time. The meal quality in the mess is average and sometimes the plates are not properly washed. It gets really crowded after classes which causes a lot of chaos. The regristration process for hostels is done through the SMILE portal and it is affordable.

Admission

I almost got an admission in RV College in Bengaluru and NITK Surathkal. I chose NITW over RV because of the brand value of NIT and placement record. I chose NITW over NITK because I was getting EEE in NITK but ECE in NITW I did not get rejected I opted not to join those colleges There are mainly two admission proccess here : 1. JEE Mains route ( GEN - Below 5k ) 2. DASA ( Direct Admission for Students studying Abroad )

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is around 1:14. Most of the teachers are very friendly and approachable , always ready to solve queries and not at all arrogant. According to me pavan singh sir ( physics teacher ) and om sir ( chemistry ) are really good. Not just their way of teaching but also their friendly and approachable vibe. But for a fact , all the faculties that taught me are extremely good. There are exams frequenly ( minors ) and two main exams ( mid sem and end sem ). The number of students that fail to clear the exam are really low. Almost all subjects are relevant to the course except few ( like Biology )

Interview Experience

4

No there were no Group discussions or interview or any external tests , the only test through which we can enter this college is by writing the Joint Entrance Examination ( JEE ). Only if you have a valid JEE Mains rank can you get admission over here

Night Life

3

The nightlife is the time when most of the students get most active. Gym's are closed and most of the shops except the bakery near 1.8k hostel is closed. Library also closes by 9PM. The most famous hangout spots in the college is the Time Square ( TS ) and ouside college there is not a famous hangout spot. All of the campus is safe to roam at night and there is a curfew of 10:30PM set to go outside campus

Placement Experience:

the placements in the college starts from the 4th year and the students who are having backlogs and have cgpa less than 6.5 are not at all allowed for attenting placements so i recommend student clear there backlogs before going in to the 4th year and if the student having grip over all thesubjects thought by the faculty than he/she can easily get the placement in the early stage only.until now the highest package is 6 lpa and in an average 20 out of 70 in a class have got jobs in reputed companies like cognizant, accenture, delloite, zero code etc and many more companies. i plan to get a job in this year and continue my learning

Actually in our college we don't have much placements. Frequently placements take place in our college. At the time of admissions they will tell us that their college will get placements . But at the last we don't get any placements at all. No companies visits our college for placements. We are eagerly waiting for the sake of placements to show our interest and all the skills. We have a wish to get placed in our college placements.

This is helpful for both the core side and the software side. Having good bonding will give a lot of guidance. My faculty help me during the semester exams. They teach us a lot of lessons about the future after graduation. The qualification of faculty is B. Ed, M. Tech. They are good at teaching and explaining the droughts. We have to follow the classes and should maintain the notes, and mainly we have to understand the concept.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING course because I am interested in learning chip design and electronics systems. We have 15-20 faculty who are very good at their subject knowledge and too friendly with students. In our class, we are 60members, as our college is affiliated with JNTUH we have a tricky exam pattern with difficult questions. But learning every topic with proper knowledge then we definitely pass in the exam and score good marks.
