What Students Say

Likes

It has got some really good faculty members
The campus in itself is good and the infrastructure is also quite good
It has got three grounds , a basketball court etc . The food in the canteen is also hygienic and of good quality.

Dislikes

A little bit of renovation is required in the mechanical labs.
There are no boys hostels but hostels for girls are available on campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

It's an autonomous college affiliated to MAKAUT. So , in terms of course curriculum it's excellent. The course is carefully designed so that it meets modern day needs and the students enrolled can land a good job or go for higher education degrees easily.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 139000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Previously the total fees was 489000/- INR , but from this year there has been a fees hike and the total payable fees for the same course is now 588000/- INR . There are few scopes for scholarship as there are some federations like Reliance who recently circulated a scholarship test for a total scholarship amount of 200000/- INR. Unfortunately as described this was not from the college federation. The fees is expected to stay the same for atleast 1 or 2 years but there's a high chance of fees hike also. Year Wise fees is around 1.39 lakh INR . At the time of admission :- Tution fee - 69500/- INR Library fee - 6000/- INR Caution Deposit ( one time- Refundable ) - 10000/- INR Student welfare , Games and Sports fee - 4000/- INR University development fee - 2200/- INR Development fee - 4000/- INR Admission kit - 1000/- For those who are eligible for the TWF quota , the tution fees reduces to 42000/- INR (per semester)

Campus Life

The college library is too good and one can get hold of any type of book he wishes to read. There's a huge range of accessibility and availability of books and journals in there. Sports and extracurricular activities are also encouraged and are truly an attractive feature of this college. There are various clubs like GDG(Google developers Group) , GeeksforGeeks , EDIC (Entrepreneurship club) , Sports Club , Music club , Dance club , Drama club , Poetry club etc. One can explore all when he enters the college (mainly in the second sem) . One can also learn archery and basketball if he/she wishes to . Similarly there are many student run social groups also.

Admission

Firstly , I choose this college because of its environment and premises. It has a peaceful and greeny college campus along with good placement and higher study or research records . Secondly , It was affordable (atleast for me) , the samee scenerios might not be true for all. And last of all , I read about the curriculum and it seemed like an good choice for me.

Faculty

The faculty student ratio is good i.e. near about 1:7 The exam system is a bit tricky because of the concept of surprise tests that has been introduced lately. 60 marks for end semester exams and 40 internal including surprise test. Most of the faculty members are friendly and chill.

Placement in our college is descent . Students typically become eligible for campus placement starting from the 5th Semester. For CSE/IT companies like TCS,CTS ,WIPRO, ACCENTURE etc... come for the placements. For Core branches like EE,ECE,ME Companies like L &T ,samsung, TATA Steel etc...come for offers. The highest package is around 8 to 10 LPA and the average is around 4 to 5 LPA. 70% to 80% of RCCIIT generally get placed across varios department. My plan is to persue MS from abroad/.

Students become eligible for campus placement starting from 6th semester ,meanwhile u can also get paid internship from 5th semester itself .The companies which visited the campus most frequently are Cognizant ,TCS ,Infosys ,IBM ,PwC ,BMC ,Tavisca ,Wipro ,Amazon .Tavisca provided over 12 LPA while BMC provided over 14 LPA ,meanwhile in 2024 ,a new record of highest package emerged which is of 21 LPA.The Average package is 480,000 rupee CTC .Over 80 to 90% of students are placed and the college has a very good alumni network which provides u with referrals and possible jobs.I plan to join a IT company after getting my degree

Good for placements, excellent hostel life and good to learn, apply and fun. A college for all round development.

Placement Experience:

Placement ratio of the college is very good, cadets start getting placements from 2nd year but majorly the mass placement process starts from 3rd year. The packages ranges from 400-1200 USD as an engine cadet. There are major companies such as CHEVRON, MSC, DYNAGAS, NYK, FLEET MANAGEMENT, PACIFIC BASIN, MOL, IOCL, ZODIAC MARITIME, TORM TANKERS, etc that visit the college for placements every year. For every batch the placement ratio is above 95%. This college is known for its placements and alumni network

Course in a tough situation

Course Curriculum Overview:

I know Global institute of technology and management college where I started my Btech in mechanical engineering course is one of the great college in west Bengal for Btech but in these period during lock down causes of covid 19 our classes are not going very well. But although teachers are doing there best for teaching us all subjects and they also supporting us all the time. So I thik this will be a new experience with all of this. But one thing they always putting us pressure for submit money I mean fees from one month ago of the submission date of our fees. Nothing else just hoping for the best for future.

Every year college gives maximum job opportunity, many companies come last year, maximum 70-80% job confirmed from here with good package. Highest package 8.5 L and avg 5.5 L per year. But computer science and IT companies given good package than other companies.

Hi I am a student in hit kolkata.Admission is taken through both wbjee and jee main score. Especially for computer science a rank of around 4000 can secure you a place ,may vary a little bit. Talking about the application form it will come on the wbjee web page .Application fee is 500. Application dates will be updated on the official website. There are reservation benefits in college based on category,family income like twf in which semester fees is reduced. Before admission process there ocurrs 2 round of counselling and a mop up round.Then the admission in which a amount of around 70000 is paid through cash or online medium. Coming to the college aspect the main things to talk about are infrastructure,teaching and teachers, food ,water .And all these things are pretty good.There are some more needs like sports facilities so there is playground in which you can play.There is also some programs keep happening at certain times to keep your mind free after hours of classes. Unveiling HITK

So, basically i gave all engineering exams and i got good marks in jee as well as in wbjee but waiting for jee councelling to get decent college of my choice unfortunately i did not got what i was expecting and thus throung my jee marks i got admission in hitk which is also a decent college. Talking about the application form u will find in wbjee websiteand its fees is 500 rs also application dates are available in the website itself . Now , yes there are reservations for the student of west bengal if they score better they get more chance that outside students .
