Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is around average because it has a typical system of attending lectures and keeping up your attendance which disables student to explore the creative side of themselves. The semester exams are conducted in every six months with 1 assignment and 1 Internal exam each sem.
Internships Opportunities
The University provide good assist to the student for internship. There are specific internship cell in each department which assist every student to secure internship in any reputable organizations. The internship cell also teaches student to behave professionally.
Fees and Financial Aid
B.Com LLB course fees 3100/- for 1st, 3rd, 5th ,7th, 9th sem 3900/- for 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th sem Total fees 35000 in 5 years There are other fees that are payable but are very minor amount like admission fees. Scholarship is provided for SC, ST and OBC category.
Campus Life
The Law fest is held every year around Feb-Mar. Every kinds of books and journals are available in the library and also student can request them to order the required book. There are some smart class available in each department.
Admission
The first and most important factor for choosing this college was the fees which is very cheap. Secondly the college in located in my hometown which was also a plus point. Thirdly the Highcourt was also situated in the Bilaspur city which gives me advantage as a law student.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is very low in our department which is 30(20 teaching + 10 non-teaching) faculties for 900 students. It really impact badly on the quality of education provided. Although, our department has improved a lot in last 6 month under the new HOD. There are few faculties who do their work with responsibility but there are also some staff who just misuse there position and do nothing. Mentorship is quiet decent. I do not often interact with teachers but when I do they are quite supportive and helpful but not all faculty member are same.
Other Applied Colleges
Hidayatullah National Law University - [HNLU] | Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.}
Because my current college fees was way much less than HNLU
