Remarks

Its a really huge campus with lot of space for the students to learn and enjoy the college phase. The main auditorium is exceptionally well built. However, the rules regarding certain trivial aspects are too strict is what students feel, making coping up with the system, a little difficult. Atrendance issues are stringently dealt with and also CIA pattern causes rigourous work schedules to be followed.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course curriculum gives a mix of understanding in all three subjects, thereby helping the students to not only pursue master in any of the 3 major domains, but also helps in inter applying the knowledge gained from one domain to enhance skills and expertise in the other domain. The curriculum, however is a concentrated version than the vast ones that one could probably get aqquainted with, if they take a single subject major degree. The exam pattern is of two main written exam in each semester of, one being the mid semester examination and the other being end semester examination. Also, we have a Continuos Internal Assignment pattern, where along with the mid sem and end sem marks, two other period of project submissions as CIA 1 and CIA 2 is also evaluated, once after one month of semester commencement, and once in between the period of gap between midsem and endsem.

Placement Experience

3.5

Many courses have to complete a compulsary internship in the secon year. But that is usually unpaid. Also, the faculty is cooperative enough to suggest places of internship opportunities, and guide in the procedure. However, no reccomendation beyond a point is done, in order to enable the stuudents to seek out their own opportunities in the job field and environment. There are placement cells that open up to you in third year, for almost all of the UG and PG courses. However, i cant give a personal comment on either the internship place or placement, since i m only in my 2nd year right now, and will be doing the processes required only after a month.

College Events

4.5

The campus is having multiple evdnts throughout year. The various student organisations have their fest, and also, each department of the college has a fest of its own, which makes the campus lively every other day. However, the major common for college fests include Ethnic day and bhasha utsav, where the cultural difference and vibrancy in campus is celebrated with students allowed to wear fancy dresses, programmes in auditorium, and a 3-4 hour long DJ platform, where the campus is filked with music and students dance their heart out. The other two major events are the inyerdepartment, and intercollegiate fest, blossoms, inbloom and darpan, which gives us students the chance to participate in various events of our choice from sports, dance, music, theatre, literature and art.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is really feasible with respect to the services offered and in line with other colleges. However, there is a different fee pattern for different department courses, and also, a slight difference between karnataka state students, other state students and NRIs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The students are offered scholarship from second year, based on academics and attendance of first year. Also, along with that, faculty reports on students and financial status proofs are checked. But I cannot comment more details, since i have not availed any.

Campus Life

4

The extracurricular activities provided are exceptional, since the college promotes various sports along with trained faculty coaching, and also arts like dance. Also, there is no disparity shown based in genders for either sports or arts. The equipments supplied for sports are well, but arts and dance is cost dependent on students, unless it is specifically for a college event only. The labs are well maintained and have knowledgeable attendants to help.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni conduct medical camp every yar, free of cost for the staff and students. Apart from this, i have also heard some special seminars being conducted by alumni association every now and then, but i am not much aware of the details.

Faculty

4

Most if the faculty is cordial towards students, with a very few exceptions. However, almost 90% of faculty shows ptofessional behaviour in class, and also encourages open discussions and interactions with regard to the subject if discussion and relevant social issues. Almost all of the faculty is well versed in the subject they are supposed to teach.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of the dual degree that it has to offer, christ is one of the very few institutions that offer dual degree and allow you to explore both the subjects or gain combined knowledge of both the subjects. The curriculum is very up to date with subjects that relate to real world problems. What i like the most about my curriculum is the Learner centric approach where they divide the class into halves so that the teacher student ratio can be maintained in order to achieve full efficiency. One area of improvement can be inculcating more soft skills traininng into it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

- curriculum specially for BA is not like how you see in other universities it's a comprehensive curriculum where your also studying subject like AI learning, data analysis, regional languages and so much more it is a comprehensive course which is not only focusing on your major but also on an overall development of you as a student.. - well we are not only getting in-class lectures but we also have a internal component of internship every year which helps us get an experience of real world situations and job market. -There is one course called numbers we have that could be improved it basically talks about mathematical in economic applications numerical implications particularly which has not been given more thought on it could be more elaborated and structured well. - frequency is high and difficulty is moderate usually.

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.
