Remarks

The infrastructure of college is very nice.The college is situated in athirapilly root.So there is a cool climate at night.If we study good there will be no complaints. And if not all will blaim for small problems we made itself.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have taken civil engineering.Its nice.Its easy to study if we concentrate the class.The lecture is good.Talking about internals.There will be 2 internal test.After taking the marks from the two exams.The teacher decide whether to write the university exam or not.

Placement Experience

There is good placement for computer science,Electrical and instrumentation,Electrical and communication and for Electrical(EEE).college does not provide internship.we have to go out and do.And then submit the certificate

College Events

The main events celebrated in our college are: Arang(college arts day) The college arts day is celebrated every year Bharatham(Inter college arts day) This fest is hosted in a gap of 2 years Nautilus(Tech fest) Holi

Fee Structure And Facilities

Merit students have only less fees. Management students have to pay 75000 for a semester.And NRI's have to pay more than that.I think NRI 's have to pay near 10 lakh for 4 year of study.The fee structure is feasible for meritious students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Pv mathew scholarship is given by federal institute of technology(FISAT) for students studying there.The scholarship is given in the criteria of their academics and score obtained in university exam.Each student from each class gets this scholarship.

Campus Life

There are many platforms for extracurricular activities in the college.There is games like football,cricket,volleyball,basketball and badminton.cricket ground is governed by kerala cricket association.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is situated inside the campus itself.There are two hostel for boys(PG for post graduates and 1st years and then mens hostel(MH) for engineering students.Infront of the hostel there is play ground.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

No idea about alumini.senior students are very helpfull.They help for studying and also for other help. They support for sports activities and also for fests in college.cricket team is giverned by seniors itself.

Admission

I got admission in management quota.keam mark will be taken.And after a round they will select according to mark.Then there is merit quota they get mant concesions for food,fee etc.Then there is Nri quota

The faculty of our civil department is very nice.They are friendly to the students.But while taking class they are strict itself.If the students doesnt submit the works on time they feel very bad and they scold

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

There was cut off for the admisiion process i think the cut off was around 45000 in the keam rank. Based on the rank you will get a seat in the merit. There are several scholarship for the students who all are financially not stable...Read More
