Fees and Financial Aid

Shaheed Bhagat Singh evening ,affiliated with the University of Delhi, is known for its strong academic reputation, especially in Commerce and Social Sciences. Established in 1967, the college provides a conducive learning environment with well-equipped classrooms, modern libraries, and computer labs. It is highly regarded for its Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) program, drawing students from across the country. SBSEC emphasizes holistic development through various extracurricular activities. The college has active societies for debate, drama, music, and other cultural pursuits. Its sports facilities are also commendable, with regular participation in inter-collegiate events. The faculty is experienced and supportive, known for a practical approach to teaching. Students appreciate the helpful administrative staff and relatively smooth admission process. However, some students feel that the infrastructure could be further upgraded, especially in terms of campus size and canteen facilities. Located in Sheikh Sarai, the college enjoys proximity to several amenities and a vibrant student atmosphere. The placement cell is active, offering opportunities in reputed companies, although some students feel placements could be more diverse. Shaheed Bhagat Singh evening college is well known college for commerce course and it is one of the best college for b.com course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
