Remarks :
The College is not well known in Kerala. The college as a beautiful infrastructure and is located away from City so the noise from traffic is eliminated and is not affected by pollution. The overall faculty and students coordination in our campus is excellent.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course i opted is mechanical engineering. As it is a core subject the curriculum is a bit on the hard side. As the college is located in Kerala all the college's comes under a single University (KTU). The syllabus a bit to hard for students, if a regular study is not done you will fail. Exam gets postponed most of the time. But there will be decent amount of gap between each Exams.
Placement Experience :
Every year our College conducts a job fairs for students within the campus and also for students from other colleges. The job opportunities for core field like mechanical, electrical, civil are very less. Our College does not provide internship but has a list of industries which provide internship for students. The internship does not provide any stipends but the exposure that thebstudents get to the engineering world is immense.
College Events :
Most of the festivities of Kerala are celebrated in our College like Christmas, Onam, Vishu, Republic day etc., Our College conducts arts for students where they can show off their talents in front of others. And every year our College also conducts techfest where students from other colleges also participate.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure at SNGIST is feasible for students who gets admission via merit. For students who get admission via NRI will have an expensive fee to be paid. The students also get scholarship by taking into consideration their performance in 12th board exam.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The College provides scholarship for students who had performed well in their 12th board exam. There are also caste reservation for students and the the fee to be paid will be every less. The college does not provide with any kind of loan.
Campus Life :
The college conducts inter College volleyball championship every year. A sports day is also held for students every year. The labs provided by the college is of high specification, costly and intentionally certified.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni network is not so good on our campus as the college is not well known. Some of the alumnis are very helpful for existing students, because they help the students with their final year project. Most of the students are not in contact with the college or with the faculties.
Faculty :
Faculty in our College are average. Some of them are highly skilled but some are just average in their teaching fields. But overall, they all are very helpfull and kind hearted and always be there for students for their ups and downs
