Course Curriculum Overview

Well it does not prepare us for real world because it is all bookish details in tgis course but because of the evolving needs of cs i chose this course and also because im very inclined towards coding

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 2800000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The semester wise fees is around 2 lakh 75 thousand in which 25 thousand is for the mess 75 is for hostel fees and rest else is the normal tuition fees. If you are in the top 100 students whilw giving the kiit exam you get a scholarship in which you have to pay the normal fees at the start pf every sem but 10k will be transferred to the students acc every month but you have to maintian your attendance and a sgpa above 7.5

Campus Life

Well yabthe canpus life is wonderful because of large student intake the campus is filled with students and there is no dull moment. We have amny event and functions every festival is celebrated beautifully

Admission

I chose this college just because of its location because people of srm and vit told me that the student culture is not very nice there and boys are not allowed to roam around with girls and is very strict and language barrier will also be a issue that was the main diff

Faculty

The course faculty are quite nice also we are given electives to choose from each sen which is also quite a good thing because we can chose something that we are interested in and study about that also we have one mid sem of 20 marks and one end sem of 50 marks each sem and rest 30 is i ternals

Students from 4th year becomes eligible for placement and for internship we are eligible for 3rd year. As I am 1st year I don't know about that much exact status of placement. My plan is prepare for IES if I don't get good placement from the college.

A Bitter Sweet College life Summary- Chapter 3

Placement Experience:

During 7th semester students students are eligible for campus placements. For chemical we have Saint Gobain, TATA Steel, Exxon Mobil, ITCX etc visiting the campus. For Tech we have Microsft visiting us. The highest package could go up to 90lpa and the average stands at 10lpa. The percentage varies every year but overall 70-80 per cent of students get placed easily. I am also thinking of getting into a PSU after getting a degree.

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester the students are eligible for campus placement. The monthly package in campus selection is 22000 to 40000 which will be 4.5laks in a year average after some experience. It is a good package according to the college fee.

Remarks:

The college is really good and I like my stay here. The faculty is great and supportive in every mean. The seniors are awesome and Juniors are loving. I have fun in labs, doing experiments and stuff. I play with my friends in the volleyball court and try to improve my skills. In short, a peaceful study atmosphere.

My Experience at KIIT

I did get offers from other colleges such as SRM, VIT and Jaypee Noida. KIIT seemed tto be the best fit for me in terms of the combination of infrastructure, placements and the overall experience I was looking for. KIIT has a well established CSE department and is ranked highly in national rankings especially for engineering programs. KIIT has a consistent placement record for CSE. KIITEE, the entrance exam is comparatively easier than SRMJEEE or VITEEE as it was based on syllabus I was more comfortable with. The basic eligibility criteria to apply for Btech at KIIT is 10+2 qualification with atleast 60% aggregate in PCM. KIIT has its own entrance exam, KIITEE which was an online exam and the pattern is quite standard with questions from PCM based on 10+2 syllabus. The cutoff tends to be around rank 10000 with higher ranks being eligible for merit based scholarships....Read More
