KIIT has lost it's eminence and it's fame for quality education and good placement records

The course curriculum is a bit outdated for us as we're 2021 admitted batch, but for the batches admitted later ours, UGC have made significant modifications to the syllabus and the course structure. Still you'll find some subjects having untouched topics and outdated details.

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.

Fee structure remains the same throughout your duration of the course, including the hostel and mess charges too. For me having CSE 1.75 lakhs per semester, and 60k for hostel (50k for 3-bedded + 10k for premium quality), mess fess is 22.5k (per semester for hostel and mess fess). You can pay fees through SAP portal via, debit/credit cards, wallets and UPI, net banking, NEFT/RTGS, and even through postal service, money order, or by visiting the admission cell by yourself and paying via check.

Infrastructure is superb, fully air conditioned bulidings and classrooms, large reading rooms in hostel as well as each department building, and a state-of-the-art central library equipped with all sorts of books and digital library having a vast collection of e-books. Campus is green and clean, vibrant with activities and people all around. Gym, swimming, and other sports facilities for all the students (?500 for registration as a one time fee, and ?300 per activity per month). Sports including basketball, cricket, football, rugby, tennis, badminton, table tennis, chess, swimming, athletics like sprinting, etc. Many technical and non-technical societies to join and participate in be it social, entrepreneurship, robotics, ML, AI, electronics, embedded systems, MUN, NCC, etc. all being supervised by KSAC (excluding NCC).

Hostel facility is good, have faced challenges with mess facilities as of the food supply and hygiene wasn't upto the mark and boarders go sick very frequently due to food poisoning, jaundice, hepatitis, liver infections, stomach infections, etc. While the authorities resolved it after strong protests by the boarders as one on the boarder succumbed to death due to acute liver failure as he as infection with hepatitis virus and jaundice due to contaminated food in the mess and the contaminated water supply in one of the hostels in KIIT. But rather such cases and many more, the rest of the hostel accommodation is good, I prefer taking AC rooms as the weather in Bhubaneswar in mostly hot throughout the year.

The admission process was really smooth and convenient and the admission cell was very responsive through mails even during the COVID period. It was easy to get through the entrance exam KIITEE, you can easily score good comparatively to JEE-Main, and can get CSE branch.
