Course Curriculum Overview

4

The B.Tech course curriculum in KIIT follows the latest NEP rules. Therefore, they are very relevant. Moreover, most concepts are easy grasp and comprehensive enough such that the student gets a holistic education.

Internships Opportunities

4

During the internship season in KIIT, which is usually the Summer Internship Program, students can grab internship opportunities in KSOM, CRF in K-Innovation, School of Electronics Engineering, etc to build up work experience and get hands on projects to work on.

Placement Experience

4

KIIT has a strong placement record with 90% of students placed in companies like KPMG, Capgemini, Delloite, TCS, EY, and PwC. The average package in 2023 was 8.5 LPA, the median was 9.5 LPA, and the highest was 63 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Here is the detailed yearly fee structure: 1. Tuition Fee - Rs. 4,00,000 2. Miscellaneous Fee - Rs. 75,000 3. Hostel Fee - Rs. 60,000 for 3 Bed, AC, Premium Hostel Here are the details of the scholarships offered by KIIT: 1. Pradyumna Bal Memorial Scholarship - Covers the entire education fee of two meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds 2. KIIT Poverty-Cum-Merit Scholarship - Aimed at assisting financially challenged students 3. KIIT Merit Scholarship - Grants Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000 to semester toppers across various schools 4. KIITEE Merit Scholarship - Covers a part the the education fee for students who get a rank of 1000 or less in KIITEE

Campus Life

5

The overall experience with campus life has been great. There are a total of 30 campuses in KIIT and hence there are a lot of things to do. Moving on to the club involvement, there are various societies one can join in KIIT such as music societies, tech societies, dance societies, drama societies and many more. Societies provide for a way to strengthen the bond between seniors and juniors and brings out the creativity within a student.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facility, in general, is good, but the first-year hostel rooms could be better and bigger. The 3 bed, AC, premium boy's hostel rooms have one window AC, a single door wardrobe for each boarder, a table, chair and desk lamp for each boarder, a cabinet for each boarder, two tubelights, a ceiling fan, a bed for each boarder and an attached bathroom with a sink, commode and a shower.

Admission

I chose KIIT over other colleges that I had applied to because: 1. it offers a wide range of programs to choose from 2. it offers a holistic approach to the education that it provides 3. it is a ragging-free university 4. it has a green campus that has significantly less pollution The KIIT admission process includes taking the KIITEE exam after class 12 and securing a good percentile. Students are then asked to confirm their choice of course and program. They are then asked to pay the registration fee and finally are asked to report on campus.

Faculty

4

The faculty members of KIIT are great. They are very helpful and approachable. The faculty-to-student ratio is approximately 1:12. In a semester, there are two exams that are held, the mid-semester examinations and the end-semester examinations. The mid-semester examination usually covers half of the semester's syllabus and students are given 1.5 hours to solve the paper. Whereas, the end-semester examination covers the entire syllabus of the semester and the students are given 3 hours to solve the paper.

Night Life

4

As for first years are concerned, the students are not allowed to stay outside the hostel building after 7 pm. Therefore, first year students do not get to experience nightlife as much as the seniors are allowed.
