Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum for this course played a significant role in my decision to enroll, particularly is focus on hands-on projects and real world case studies that somewhat directly relate to industrial needs. However, I believe there are areas of improvement, such as incorporating more collaborative learning opportunities and diverse teaching methods for different learning styles.

Internships Opportunities

3

Several companies like GAP, Verisk, TCS, CommVault offer internships with stipends. These internships typically include roles such as Software Developer, Data Analyst, etc. These experiences not only provide practical skills but also offer insights into working in a professional environment.

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for campus placement starting from their 7th semester. Several reputable companies have visited our campus. Impressively, a good percentage of students secure placement, reflecting the string connections our college has with the industry. After obtaining my degree, I plan to start my career in Artificial Intelligence, as I want to build a solid foundation for my future in the same.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 123000 INR as the college fees starting from 2021 and it incresed every till date by around 2000 INR. For every course type, the fee structure varies. For Computer Science course, the fees is obviously higher when compared with the other courses offered. Along with that we also have to pay additionally to the college for the records which we take every semester for the labs, for examination fees and bus fees which are to be given only in cash. There are so many other miscellaneous things for which the students have to pay from their pockets. For management seats, they also take a huge donation amount at the admission time and further one has to pay a regular yearly wise fee. Students who are eligible for fee reimbursement, have to get a bonafide signed from the college. On the other hand, merit students have to pay a less amount as the government fulfils their education needs. Also, there are some students with the quot known as Children of Armed Personals(CAP), through which they receive some amount under Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme.

Campus Life

4

In here, the annual and technical fests include Pulse, Pragnya, GRIET TedX, Resonance, and much more. The library offers a robust collection of books and journals, ensuring that students have access to a wide range of academic resources. Classrooms are equipped with modern technology, including projectors. It encourages students to participate in sports and extracurricular activities, offering cricket, badminton, chess, kabaddi, basketball, table tennis, carroms, etc, along with joining clubs for arts, music and drama.

Admission

I applied to several other colleges, including Vasavi, CBIT, Narayanamma, GRIET, and I received confirmed admission from GRIET. Ultimately, I joined this college because of its strong emphasis on its excellent faculty. I did face rejections and I think the competition was particularly tough there. As for admission process here, it requires applicants to meet certain eligibility criteria, such as EAMCET score or JEE score for B category admissions. The college accepted only the above admission criteria including management, with EAMCET being most preferred among college students. The cutoffs for this exam tend to vary each year. Overall, my admission experience was quite smooth, with clear communication from the college and a straightforward application process that made it easy to navigate.

Faculty

4

Three faculty-to-student is quite favourable. Students find the faculties approachable, often praising their willingness to help out side of class hours. Some professors stand out for their engaging teaching methods to student success. They create a welcoming atmosphere, encouraging questions and discussions. Regarding exams, it typically has a mix of midterms and finals, and while some students find them challenging, others feel adequately prepared due to the curriculum's relevance. The pass rate is generally good, though a few students may struggle with certain subjects, often due to a lack of engagement or support. Overall, the course curriculum is designed to align well.

Internships starts from spring break of 4th sem and placements start from spring break of 6th sem ( if you don't get a PPO ) Many big companies like Microsoft , Oracle , DeShaw and Qualcom visit the college. More than 80% of student that are eligible for placements get placed while the others get off campus placements or opt for higher studies. My plans after getting th degree depends on the CTC of package I get offered. If it is not upto my expectation I will pursue higher education abroad.
