Architecture Department of NIT Hamirpur

Course is well planned. With all core subjects like Design, Building construction and materials, Structures well Faculty of Structure is from Civil Department so it is also taught good. There are no 24 - 48 hours long exams of Studio subjects. There is also subject specifically for Hill Architecture taught in this college.

In Architecture course 1 semester internship is compulsory and we can get internship through college or by our own self. Many good companies and firms like Sanrachna, Interior Coach, etc visits college for hiring interns with good stipen. Summer breaks are 2-3 months long many students do internship own their own and they easily get internship because of name of college

The placement of Architecture Department NIT Hamirpur for 2024 passout batch was 100% with highest package of 12LPA. The average package in around 6LPA. Many Profound companies like L&T, M Moser, V Construct, Sanrachna, Livspace, etc visits.

The Fee Structure depends upon your category and You family income. For Students with family Income less than 1LPA fees is around Rs. 26750 per year For students with family income between 1LPA to 5LPA it is around Rs. 75000 per year For Students with family income more than 5LPA it is around Rs. 150000 per year

In college there are 3 fests held every year. Nimbus is technical fest held in summers. You can take part by joining any Departmental or core club. Hill'ffare is Cultural fest held in winters. You can take part by joining clubs like Music, Dance, PR, Finance, etc. Lalkaar is the Sports fest. Anyone can take part in Race, Long Jumps, High Jumps, etc. sports Activities. Interyear Inter-Departmental sports tournaments of Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Kabaddi, etc also happens

Hostels are alloted every year based upon your CGPA in 4th, 5th year we get single rooms. The food in mess is also very good. You get different menu for Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and dinner every week day. Some hostels have gym, some have Badminton court, some have canteen, Laundary, Wifi, playing ground.

The best thing about this college is tag of NIT. The course is affordable. The campus life is also good with lot of exposure to on field experience. College provide lot of internship and placement opportunities. You need to clear JEE mains paper 2 to get admission and follow the councilling. I didn't apply for other colleges

In Architecture Department there are good number of Faculties and they have good teaching experience. There are also temporary staff appointed every year. The exams of Architecture Department are held in the Department Studios not in Lecture Hall and syllabus remains what is taught by teacher as exam is set by teachers only so it remains easy.
