Remarks

College management is helpful .they consider our demands and fulfill it anti ragging committee is very serious not only academics but extra curricular is given priority life is really good here at NIT raipur.

Entrance Preview

JEE mains paper 1 all India rank 2903 because it is in my hometown cause I had interest in architecture I chose it admission process was rather smooth.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It is extremely beneficial and informative the subjects provide both bookish and practical knowledge we go to regular case studies for better understanding of topics architectural design and building construction and building services are the major subjects climatology, materials, structural analysis are other areas of study.

Internships Opportunities

In 5th year we have internship but not provided by college i don't know much about it we work under some renowned architect and general stipend is between 5-8 thousand per month.

Placement Experience

4.5

In architecture basically for few years we work under some architect companies don't usually hire architects but we can apply ourselves as few companies have a vacancy for architects for engineering students various companies come and even the get 20 lakh+ packages.

College Events

5

NASA, ZONASA- these are events of architecture srudents all over india. We are allowes to go there, archifest is organized in our department an its a total fun and learn event and Aavartan and eclektica are annual fests organised which involves the whole of NIT and other colleges of state and country.

Fees and Financial Aid

The alumni give scholarship to deserving student the GCE/NITRR alumni have an organization which help worthy student pay their fees.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio is equal my department of architecture has equal number of girls and boys and debate, robotics etc are organised in AAVARTAN eclectika etc they were really of considerable standard.recently a debate was organised after a group discussion and it was worthwhile to listen to the points of students in topics such as universal design, how to accomodate growing population, as an architect how to conserve heritage etc.

Hostel Facilities

3

I live in my home and canteen food is okay but I have heard about hostel food its not good of girls hostel. But boys hostel food is somewhat okay. basic standard is maintained. The food is hygienic always. But taste depends on choice of people who eat.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni help us. Provides scholarships and seniors do help in every project. I have known an alumni. He was one of my family. And he continues to give me all help and suggestions while my designs and about college seniors. From giving their sheets to explaining difficult subjects. They are always there for us at any time of day or night.

Exam Structure

Exams are days which are really chilled out days. But normal days are hectic in architecture students life there are 2 class tests and one end semester exam in each semester we get grade points in each semester and these grade points are added and finally we get a cumulative grade point.

Admission

JEE mains website had all the instructions and JoSAA regulated the process I filled the details. I picked my choice from the list of colleges counselling was held and I got selected. I reported to the college and got admitted the result was announced on the month of june and counselling occurred during july and 27 july college started i wad allotted in home state and general quota.

Faculty

4

Qualified and helping some faculties are Ph.D and most have done masters in various architecture related subjects our HOD is phD. from IIT he has done masters there are qualified visiting faculties also who come time to time to provide knowledge there are different people to teach planning, design, arts, building construction , structural analysis and all those are qualified in their respective fields.

From 9th semester in Architecture students become eligible for campus selection . Average package of last year was 437000 for b.tech and 530000 for Mba and each department had their multipal placement. I had also applied for Gitam college in vizag and got selected but ranking of that college was low but fees was very high.

Placement Experience:

As mentioned earlier, in Architecture department, on campus placement opportunities are lesser. But off campus opportunities are grabed by students. Few private companies like LnT, Techture, Livspace and PSUs like EIL, Mecon do offer placements Many times the huge alumni network also supports in the placement. Generally students opt of Jr Architect or interior designer role but some students also switch streams for Graphic Design, UI - UX, 3D visualiser etc. Some students opt for masters in architecture, planning, design or management also. They go for entrance exams like GATE, CEED, CAT etc
