Btech. In upes is decent, you can purpose it here ig you don not other Better choices than this. Also fees is high so you can see accordingly. Otherwise you can find opportunities here too but yes you have to work for yourself.

You can find intership opportunities here. There are various companies who offers internships to students here. And You can also find off campus intership if you aren't able to find it on campus and you are good

Placements are decent here. There are various companies that come for placement here. Anyways there is crowd here by which overall placement can be affected. As a fresher much more about the placement here

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is nearly around 4-5 lakh/yr for b.tech. You can get scholarship according to your 12th percentage/ jee percentile/ cuet results, and if you have a domicile of uttrakhand plus if your parents income are less than a particular income then you can apply for it.

Campus Life

Campus life here is good. There is alot of people from different states you can be friends with. Focus on your social skills. There are different clubs here you can participate in like - dance music sports and many more

Hostel Facilities

Hostels here are good too. In hostel there is three sharing bedroom and washroom is common. Mess is decent. There is wifi available here and there are also hostel available outside the college. You can choose accordingly.

Hostel Fee: INR 150000 per year

Admission

Well I choosed btech here because I didn't have better option than this. If you guys have a better option than you can goo for it. You can easily get addmission here. There are many ways to get admission here.

Faculty

Facility here is decent, you can find difficulties in some classes but you can go with YouTube. There are mid term and end term in one semester. In mid term some starting chapters will be there and end term whole syllabus will be there

Things to Know about Uttaranchal University before admission.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are quite bad as only a few companies come to our college for placement drive . Students becomes eligible for campus placement from the 3rd year onwards . Companies visited like TCS , HCL and some other not much popular companies visited but this year placement is very low . Our college also fake advertising about the placement they advertise the interships also as placements. 10 to 20 percent in BTech CSE are getting only Placement. I don't know what I will do after getting degree but currently I am doing a side by side diploma from IIT Roorkee to get some extra knowledge and skill improvement for better placements.

GEU and CSE ho hand in hand!

Placement Experience:

LTI, Polaris, Deloitte, Infosys, Oracle, Nvidia and what not are there for placements here. Even the Fintech and finance companies like the Axis Bank, Shri Ram Capital Finance and all are here. Thus, placements worth 10-50 lakhs is quite possible at GEU.

Geu provides best intenrships!

Placement Experience:

In GEU placements are like such that we don't have to bother at all. We are approached by placements cell in the 5th semester and then are trained for the whole month and then university urges us to go for internships to have the required exposure and have a CV which can impress the recruiters first hand. Thus, we get placement which median as of now is 8.5 lakhs.

GEU has the best Placements!

Placement Experience:

McKinsey, Oracle, NVIDIA, Google, TCS, Deloitte and many more come here for placements. Around 15-20 students in 2025 had placements worth over 40 lakhs and four students managed to grab placements worth 50 lakhs or more.

Placement Experience:

Our college has a very good placement ratio and placement also depends on the economy and industry that year and a lot lf other factor but if you have a CGPA of above 8 you are moat likely to get placed. The highest package ranges from 2-3 crores and average goes around 13lpa. I am currently planning to do an MBA after graduation from a foreign university moat likely Harvard.

Specific aspects of the circullum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the computer science department as I love knowing about the computer and the efforts of making daily life problems easy and best thing is that if know how to use the computer well you can earn well enough of money in this world the world only cares about that you have money or not if have they will give you respect if don't have it they treat you like shit.

A big no for placements and a big yes for campus life

Entrance test for the programme is conduted based on the criteria that is above 60% admissions are provided. The professors of the university also conducts interviews before admissions in zoom. After all the process once the student clears the exam and interview admission is provided. I was enrolled in the university in the year 2018 as would say that I definetely wasted my 3 precious years and money offcourse. There were no placements also, just for small matters they send you from one person to other and for some university matters you will have to go other campus just for some signatures....Read More
