Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is extremely relevant and to the point. The curriculum is not as heavy as the ones you'd see in other universities know for law, like Christ but just as effective with only the required amount of workload on students. The curriculum and the professors take an interest in the real world scenarios and real world examples are almost always used along with concepts for the better understanding of students. As of now as a first year law student, i dont see significant ways the curriculum and teaching methods can be improved, they work just fine. The frequency of exams are less as it is in the hands of the professors to conduct the mid terms as they wish and most professors prefer a time where the students do not have burdens from other subjects and are able to give their all. And a few professors even give graded assignments as substitution for mid term examinations.
Internships Opportunities
The college in partnership with superset, gives sufficient oppurtunities to apply for internships for every semester with atleast 50 suggestions or more that suits your profile. One NGO intership is reccomended and also quality of the intership is also given importance to in Jindal University.
Fees and Financial Aid
The acoomodarion fee is 150000 ruppees and the tution fee is 700000. And the fees for other courses vary from 600000 ruppees to 120000 ruppees. There are pleanty of scholarships availible for students who perform well in the entrance examinations.
Campus Life
The campus life is great. With over 12 thousand students, there is a very diverse group of people you could engage with. There are quite a few DJ nights, food festivals and festivals that are organised in campus frequently. The range of access to books is unparalleled, the collection in the library is vast and excellent with books from every genre. The classrooms are equipped with 4 air-conditioners, two boards and a projector each. Sports are taken seriously and along with university teams in campus leagues also take place all year long, which tend to be extremely competitive. There are several student run councils and clubs for almost everyone in the campus. These clubs range from classical dance to Mixed Martial Arts.
Admission
I had applied to NMIMS Bangalore and BITS Law School and had managed to secure a seat in both the colleges but Jindal was better ranked globally for law and was very well reputed in the field of law in comparison to the alternative options. The admission for Jindal law school was only through LSAT examination and a percentile of 80 and above gives a good shot at cutting it. In Jindal Law School in particular, the required board marks if you make the LSAT cuttoff would be 45%.
Faculty
The faculty is excellent. And the student faculty ratio is 9:1. All faculty are respectful and encouraging in their interactions with the students. The faculty i liked most was Priyadharshini Gupta. She is to the point, no beating around the bush, extremely knowledgable and a perfect combination of strict and understanding. There are faculties however, I'd prefer not to name, who stretch the concepts unnecessarily and do tend to include activities to grow our interests that turn out to be a flop show. But again it depends from person to person and there is no denying that every Professor in Jindal triy in their own way to best help the students understand the concepts.
