Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Every year college gives opportunity for summer internship it's a research unpaid internship but anyone can learn and other thing is you can work with any professor who is doing any research work just you have to approach professor for that and you can get to learn something from them. Our curriculum is relatable to real world because when you have to work in a research lab or job it's gonna be hectic sometimes and sometimes specially for science student college life is little hectic. Sec and vac courses should be there but just for those only who wants to study it should not be get added in final marksheet and second there should not be any marks for attendance. I don't think there is any issue with exam timing .

Internships Opportunities

5

There is sri vipra summer internship in which professor use to give there topics for research and student can apply under that for research experience in which for one research topic there will be only 10 students. We can choose any interesting topic but if there is more number of students teachers use to take personal interview so they can get only 10 students for their topics.

Placement Experience

3

In last year that is 5th semester in which students become eligible for campus placement. Number of companies varies every year but last year it was around 30 and placement offer was 242 for internship anyone can apply and internship offer was 452. Highest package for placement was 21,50,000 PA amd average package was 6,58,000. There is less number of students getting placement every year .I will go for higher studies (MSc.).

Fees and Financial Aid

Students can apply for scholarship, i haven't did so i don't have any idea about that. When i got admission in clg i paid the fees was 19900 and we have to pay examination fee before exam it's based on that you have practical paper in your subject if you have practical paper it will be more or if you have only theory paper it will less and fees. Fees increases every year this year i paid 22,653 and for student who's parents are working in delhi university as a teacher or staff fees they have quota so they have to pay less amount than normal student i have no idea about how much they use to pay but it's around 5000 or 6000 only . For yhis i paid 22653 which includes tuition fees 300, university fees 2940, college student welfare fund fees 4300,college development fund fees 1800, college facilities and service charges fees 12613, weaker student support fund fees 700.

Campus Life

3.5

There is annual festival nexus which is one of the fest in DU and other diwali fest (roshni) and Dussehra (jalsa) we are celebrating FAA(fine arts association) is a society use to organise these festival and there are others society festival use to organise. There is sports facility in college like basketball court, tennis court, ground for cricket, kabbadi and other sports, badminton court is also there and there is physical education department which manage all the sports and related things . There is happy club runs by student for the help of student in college campus . Some societies like women development cell and equal opportunity cell try to make good environment in college for students .

Admission

I have applied for this particular college only sri venkateswara college because in delhi this college is good in academics and sports also if anyone is interested in sports and it use to provide summer research internship for almost every course this was the main reason i applied for this college Anyone can get admission in this college through icar cutoff varies for every courses overall admission process is smooth because it's online so no hectic process for that.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty and student ratio is different for every department in environmental science department there is two faculties only but college use to hire guest faculties so it's not a big issue. Faculties are really good you can talk with them freely specially i liked nandita Narayanasamy and Meenakshi kuhar ma'am our biochemistry department teacher and others department teachers are also good i know few chemistry department faculties also they are also very understanding. There is no one i don't like but there are some teachers who's strict about their practical and classes that's it. There are two exams for one semester one mid semester and the final semester and we have class assessment marks which includes attendance marks also . There are less number of students who use to fail but i don't have any data for that. Course curriculum is good except we use to get really hectic college life beacuse of sec and vac course .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The core subjects are very well divided, the main problem arises with the other additional subjects which requires efforts as same as the other subject even though they don't hold any importance as such. Maybe reducing other subject or making them practical based instead of theory based would be helpful.

The placements of my college are moderate as the average package is ?6.5 lakhs and the highest package is around ?23.02 lakhs . Many prestigious companies like delloite, accenture have held various placement sessions in DRC and it's overall a good to place for companies to get high skilled students. The placement cell is very active too which makes it possible for our college to get many internships and placements opportunities.

The Fest organised by this college is Priyadarshini and the annual fest Rajnigandha. The Fest are not great in comparison to other du college and are not that much celebrated. There are many different kinds books present in library like literature,Hindi, Chemistry, Maths, zoology, biology, botany, political science, History Geography the books are only alloted till 12pm and only for 15 days after that you will be charged if book is not returned Sports and Extracurricular are good but classrooms are not that great most projectors in classrooms don't work . There are many good societies in college like jamini the art society and others but joining has caused students to leave their classes which affects them academically

The placements cell Avenues regarding the placement offers coming to the college. Major companies of the job market come to the campus for recruitment like KPMG, deloitte, zepto, EY, ZS Associates and many more. The students from the final year itself gets eligible for placements. Around 30-40% students get the palcements through the placement drive. The highest package during the last palcement season was around 18 to 20LPA, while the average was 7 to 8LPA. I will certainly go for higher studies in operational research.
