Mentor in the postings teach you the fundamental of examination and case history taking, which you'll apply in your practice. As patient load is high, you'll get hands on experience of examination, boosting your confidence. But mind you that the end posting clinical exam will be hard, they are gonna test your clinical skills (atleast the fundamentals) strictly.
Internships Opportunities
In intership you will be posted to every clinical branch where you get to learn the basics of the same. In surgery you get to do some minor procedure and lots of dressing till the perfection. Library is like no other, it's huge, with each floor meant for separate use, 1st being the study hall, second being the digital library and 3rd for all your medical journals and international textbooks. All classrooms are well equipped with smart board, ac, mic and ambient light and ventilation. There will be a student association appointed each year for handling for the events in the college and a joining doctor association for residents help.
Hostel Facilities
Rooms are basic, with common wash rooms There are 2, 3, 4 sharing rooms, but for interns and residents, there will be single rooms. Meals are typical North Karnataka style, with feasts at end of every month and special meal every Sunday. Hostel affordability is good and fee payment is hassle-free as it is UPI based.
Admission
I did apply for bmc banglore and mmc Mysore, but it was good for me that I got this college, as it is near to my hometown comparatively and the city I was familiar with, and kannada only being the regional language was cherry on the top. I didn't get Mysore cz my rank was not enough, and I did put kims above bmc in the second round of counselling. Once you get the admission order from kea, you have report to the college, verify your documents and pay the admission fee with tution fee and submit your original documents to the college authority. You need to have passed your 12th class with good enough rank in neet UG. Cut off for general merit is around 20k air.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is good. They are student friendly ( except a few), they are always there by your side for all kinds of academic help. Yearly, there will be 3 internal exams before your final exam, with practicals. There will a case oriented exam at the end of each departmental posting. Curriculum is tight and well planned.
