IIIT Surat is best among all the IIITs!!

CSE at our college is advanced than any other as IIITs may have more or less the same syllabus but we have to study a lot more than that too. Exams are too much to be handled as we even have weekly tests too sometimes. So, yes a little bit of school type culture but it is for our better goods.

Skills are developed from the word go and our placement and training cell keeps a full track of it. Though, unless and until we enter the final yes, we are not allowed to sit for placements. L&T Infotech, TCS, Tata Technologies, Happiest Minds and various other top IT firms have made sure that placements are almost 90%. Average too is maintained over 10Lpa.

Fees we have to pay per semester which is 77k. So, yearly it becomes 154k. Fees is I must say is quite justified as IIIT Surat is one of th most decorated IIITs. Scholarships are available in numbers and SC/ST students anyways gets a waive off ranging from 30-40% on the tuition fees.

Spring Fiesta which is held in March is our annual cultural fest. Then since we are a tech college, event on cyberspace technology and other tech events are held all around the year. Sports facilities are good and hostelites like us have access to them till 10pm. Since the college is newly built everything including labs and classrooms are of modern day standards.

Hostel fees is 40k per semester including mess. Hostel rooms are quite good but food is average types. Rooms are alloted on dual sharing basis, and since there are no good paying facilities nearby, hostel i feel is a cheaper and better option.

JEE scores are the basis of admissions and obviously initial choice was IITs but IIITs are also no less. Especially the Surat one as our college is totally commited in developing skills in us. Admission are defined as per our score and then the choices we have marked. So yes initially I was a bit sad but I am happy with how IIIT Surat operates.

Number of faculties are quite high given the number of students that we have here. Their quality and teaching method can't be questioned as they are just too good in their job. Glorifying them not just to be in their good books but they deserve all the kudos.
