Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Teaching method is effective in JSS and dosent need much improvements atleast in my case, except some cases. Internal examination is held in three consecutive months which might be hectic for some and not for some. Be in the same pace as the class in your self study, it wouldn't be an issue.

Internships Opportunities

3

Their are lot of intenships opportunities in the college (atleast thats what told by faculty and few seniors), both government and private internships completely based on your skill set and communication skills. Many seniors have done interships and got PPO's abroad and in government bodies like DRDO, BARC etc. but you have to be hard working and passionate and this college has a lot to give you. And yes....! You would love our principle i'm sure!

Placement Experience

3

Highest placement on campus here is 33LPA and highest placement off campus is 50+LPA. Decent placements if student works hard else it would be a hard time which placement drive starts. Average placement lie between 3-5LPA. Almost maximum student geta placed except few inculding those who opt for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees in JSS Noida is 112850 but other costs including security deposit etc. sum's up it to 137850. 20k needs to be deposited while UPTAC Councelling which gets deducted while physical reporting in the alloted college. College fees is almost same for 2nd, 3rd & 4th year too, with little changes and same with the hostel fees. We have to pay 7-8k every semester for end term examination directly to AKTU which is a additional cost every semester. There are scolarships present in college for students with different family income and category, their exists both state and central government scholarships, details of which are provided to students by college in whatsapp groups and also help students apply for those. There are students with direct admission and management quota to, direct admission students have to give exact same fees as atudents getting admission through UPTAC councelling but management quota students have to give some additional money (obviously).

Campus Life

4

Campus life is great, large no. of active socities which may help you improve your communication skills and build your network which would be a very immportant aspect in building your personality. Annual fest of JSS noida named Zealicon is held in summers and a tech fest is held at start of winters & various other competions both academic and sports are held regularly. Small funtions at different festivals are held too which ends up being a lifetime memory with friends. Hostel life is lit, nothing can replace it. College has all the facillities like library, computer centre, auditorium, cafeteria etc. One con can be that classroom lacks AC's excpet classrooms in basement.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facility is decent except the wi-fi part. Despite paying a extra cost of 6k it has slow speed, works only on laptop and not on mobile phone, sometimes a lot irritating when doing serious work. Hostel has limited seats so you have to be early while councelling physical reporting to get a seat in hostel, you get a almirah, table with drawers, chair etc. Their are two hostels for boys and one for girls, BH has non AC rooms in majority and ISH has AC rooms and obviously costs more too. GH has both AC and non AC rooms in one hostel, you can contact JSS for more information. Food quality is good and tastes good, not complains in 3 weeks except 1-2 days in a week that too in snacks else morning, afternoon & night meals are good. Hostel life is the best part, nothing would replace that, all the fun with friends will forever be in youra memories.

Admission

I opted JSS because I wasent getting EE branch in NIT's and didnt wanted to pay loads and loads of money in top IIIT's, also I missed few deadlines of other councelling. I applied for government college affilated to AKTU and JSS, after not getting EE till second last round in government colleges I had to opt JSS as I got my desired branch here. Being a double dropper and missing IIT by 2 no's. despite getting 126 marks overall in 2023; (Didn't get enough marks to clear subject cutoff of mathematics) I did series of mistakes by missing deadlines of various councelling and messing up the preference list in councelling, so I would advice to not repeat such mistakes.

Faculty

4

• There are mentors and coordinators appointed for every section. • Each coordinator is easily approachable for any kind of issue. • There are three internals before the end semester examination, best two of the three is considered and then average is taken. • Combining the internal examination marks with attendance marks and teachers assesment marks forms the internal marks of 30 marks. • End semester is of 70 marks whose centre goes in some other college affilated to AKTU. • Course content is relevent in most cases but it needs improvements to get in pace with industry requirements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Jims is a ipu college, so yeah curriculum depends entirely on ipu University. First year is similar for all btech courses. Or is easy to earn marks in lab and soft skill subjects but maths or physics is hard. Your 12th basics should be very good, else these two subjects will affect your overall SGPA badly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure is good of btech but there there is only thing I don't like is that in btech course the subjects in first year are not related to career of students because there is physics, chemistry other irrelevant subjects present in first year but in second year the course become interesting and relevant. Curriculum is good and prepare well for real world applications. The exams comes frequently every month there is a class test but class tests are moderate on the basis of there difficulty level.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly speaking I don't like the curriculum of my college. Everything is same which people studied 20 years ago . Only few things has been changed and I don't understand why we need to study about things which don't have any existence in reality. They should focus on current tech and provide more learning opportunities in AI.

Course Curriculum Overview:

course curriculum is little bit out-dated, and improvements are needed in terms of syllabus. timing of exams are ok ok. so many assignments are given which is really hectic because their are deadlines to upload those assignments in google classroom. and one thing i hate about college is 75% attendence is must. due to this we do not get much time for our personal development.
