Remarks
Overall our University is one of the finest places in the world for practicing academia. There are so many opportunities here. The environment is free of superstitions and false pride. The teachers are friendly toward the students. Besides studying, one can do whatever he/she wants. It is a free space for a growing mind.
Course Curriculum Overview
As we have a semester system here, we sit for exams every 6 months. In between, we have internal exams which may vary according to the departments. The time is pretty short but we always have this enthusiasm to study as the exams are always knocking at the door.
Placement Experience
There are job counseling organized by our department. In our very first class at this University, we were told about the various career options we can choose later. There are no such internships provided by our University but our professors keep us informed with various internships and jobs outside the University.
College Events
1. Departmental Freshers- Every year, a batch of new students come to our institution. Each department welcomes the new students in their own way. There are cultural programs, food and gathering on this occasion. 2. Teacher's Day- It is the day of the teachers. We organize a cultural program in honor of our teachers. 3. Annual Sports- Every year there is a sports day at our University. Students of our institution participate in this and show their sportsmanship. Besides, there are various seminars organized by all the departments happening throughout the year. The student union organizes various events throughout the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is probably the cheapest in the country compared to such quality education. We had to pay only 1235 RS/at the time of our admission. The semester fee is only 44 Rs/. It is really very feasible as you can see.
Fees and Financial Aid
I applied for the Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship which is provided by the State Government. One of such scholarship given by our university, is SYLFF, the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund. It provides financial support to the students who are intending to pursue higher studies in humanities and social sciences.
Campus Life
As I am not a science student, I can not provide proper information about the labs. There are some lacks in some departments which are yet to overcome. Sports facility in very rich here. There is a physical education department also.
Hostel Facilities
I did not opt for the Hostel as our class started the day after admission. Getting a hostel in a lengthy matter. So I could not wait. The hostels are inside the University campus. So it is convenient in that way.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students and classmates are very very helpful. They help us with providing study materials whenever we need, even by giving their own notes. Even they share with us the job opportunities which we could not otherwise get.
Faculty
I got the best faculties in our University. They are very much responsible to finish the syllabus. Even they take extra classes in case they could not cover the syllabus. They provide us all the study materials we need. They are really very helpful.
