Tisl Mca Review

It gives a good college life in terms of activities and festive. Placements are also good but it needs to improve for some streams. Mostly all classes are equipped with air conditioners and the bathrooms and library are also well maintained. In terms of infrastructure, tisl is a very good college.

The college is affiliated to the makaut and follows the curriculum prescribed by them. The course is divided into a semester of 6 months each. At the end of each semester theory exam and practical exams are held. The theory paper is of 70 marks and the other 30 marks are given by the college on the basis of internal exams and assignments conducted. The practical exam is of 100 marks.

I have done BCA from the college and had bagged 2 jobs in big it companies. The college provides fairly well placement but for streams, it needs to work hard and bring more companies. For bca, the companies offer a figure between 1.8 to 2.4 lac pa and for BTech /mca it's between 3 -3.5 lac pa.

The official cultural fest of tisl is Anakhronas which is celebrated every year in the month of April. Popular singers are called for this event and there are many competitions off stage and on stage as well for the students. Edge is the technical fest which is one of eastern India's largest tech fest with participants coming from all corners with high end technical skills. Edge also hosts edge nights where popular English comedians are invited for stand ups. Along with this, each department has its own fest but on a smaller scale than this

Since its a private college, the fee Structure is a bit expensive for nontech undergraduate courses its about 2.5 lac for 3 years and for BTech courses its between 3.5-5 lac for 4 years. For postgraduate courses, it's between 3.5- 4.5 lac. The university ie Makaut also charges its registration fee and examination fee of 1k before each semester exam.

I am not aware of any internal scholarship exam conducted by this college. But bright students are always encouraged and supported in everything and given financial support to whatever extent it's possible. The college supports the student who has taken admission with education loans.

The college has an extensive list of extracurricular activities. It has its own football team, Cricket team and also supports other sports enthusiastically. The tournament is the official sports fest of this college. Inter and intra college competitions also take place.

Senior students are a part of alumni and alumni meets are also held. Some ex students are also hired as visiting faculty on fulfillment of the desired criteria. The faculties maintain a cordial relationship with the ex students.

The faculty of this college is very good and friendly supporting the students but on the other hand, some of the faculties need to improve their method of teaching so that the weak students can also learn. But overall the teachers clear the doubts of the students and understand their problems and are easily approachable.
