Amity University Review

This course covers all types of programming language which grabbed my interest in this course. This course will help me realise my dream of becoming a software Engineer. There should be less extra subjects in this course and it should only focus on the core subjects as it will help the students study for their specialised subject. The frequency of exams are normal and the timings are also well timed.

Different types of companies are available for internships such as Amazon, Wipro and Cisco but for interships they donot offer any stipend. Different projects will be provided for students to complete from the companies and if they do well then job opportunities are also given to them

Students become eligible for campus placements after 4th semester. Different types of companies come to Amity University Kolkata like Amazon, Wipro and Cisco etc. Highest package is 32 lakh while average package is 3 lakh. Almost 75% students get placements in the college. My plans after getting the degree is to get a good placement and start working.

All total the fees structure for BCA is around 4 Lakhs in 3 years.The fees increase every year by a margin of 3 to 4 thousand. Yearly we have to pay an amount of 135000. Admission fees was the same as the course fees. My friends in BTech have a fee structure of 10 lakh with 2.5 lakh each year. Scholarships are available in the college for students who have good marks in boards in class 12.

Every festival is celebrated in this college regardless of the caste or religion. Along with the festivals all types of events are also held regularly in the college. All types of books are available in the library ranging from novels to study books to journals etc. Many sports are available in the Sports Club and there is a inter college championship every year in different sports. All types of clubs are also there like Literary Club, Dance Club, Film Club and Music Club etc.

I applied to Techno University Kolkata where I was guaranteed admission but I chose this college because of this large campus and various events that it hosts throughout the year. I didn't get any rejections from other colleges. The admission process of Amity University is very simple as it only requires to fill a form , give a interview and make the payment. The eligibility for the course is about 45% in Science stream.

The faculty student relationship is very formal and clear. Students can easily approach the faculty with their doubts and their doubts are easily cleared by the respective faculties. This relationship between the students and the faculties is very good as it helps creating a bond between them which helps them both.My favourite faculties are Subha Ghosh, professor for Programming in Java and Ambar Dutta, professor for Computational Statistics. I like all the faculties but I don't like the teaching technique of my Cyber Security teacher Soma Ma'am. There are normally 2 main exams per semester, one internal and one external and their difficulty level is medium. There are also many class test , practical test and vivas throughout the semester.
