Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

BCA (Cyber Security In collab with EC council) is a very well rounded course for biggners as well as advance students The coure is very practical and focuses on hands on experience rather the theory , a lot of project work and activity along with certificates are given as assignments which further enhances our skill set. Exams are regulary cunducted in the university. There are three exams in a semester 2 unit test and 1 end semester

4.5

I worked with a company called honeywell cloud solutions based in hyderabad as a Network admin (intern) for two months May23-July23. My job was Network setup and configuration ,network managment ,security managment ,backup and recovery ,User Support ,Documentation. Stipend offered by the compant was 15000INR per month.

Placement Experience

2.5

For our course BCA(CS) Students can start to apply for campus placement from 5th sem but students are required to do 2 internships before 5th sem if they want they can continue working with the company and study as well. around 40 Tech companies from tech giants to local startups visits the college every year to hier students. Avrage package is around 6LPA according to our seniors highest package is 43LPA offered by microsoft which is pretty rare , mostly highest package for BCA is 10LPA. Aroung 60% of students get Placed in campus and 10% off campus. My paln is to work for 2 years after college then go to Germany for my masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per year the fee for BCA Cyber Security is 195000 INR. Fee for International Students is 540000 INR for the same corse. No financial aid or scolar ship is provided for This spesific course but there are some merit scolarships for BCA (AI). The total cost of the course is 340000 INR before scolarship and 215000 after scolarship . Scolarship is given to students who score above 90% in 12th boards and do well on the entrance test JET . 10000INR aid is given to SC/ST students.

Campus Life

3.5

Jain University has two majour fests the freshers fest "Anveshna" held in the months of July-Augest. And JU Youth Fest Held in the months of Jan-Feb. Every class is well equpit with AC , The size of the class is well suited for 80 students (every class has 60 students) . Classes are regularly cleaned , students have access to high speed wifi in every classroom. Sport is where the university lacks Multiple student run clubs and groups are aviable on campus ranging from social groups to NGOs

Hostel Facilities

1

Jain University has outsoursed the Hostel part of the equation to mojo hostels in bengalore Univetrsity has hostels in 2 locations BTM 1st Stage and JP nagar. You can get upto 2 sharing rooms in both of the locations Food is the only tollarable part of the hostel service , 3 meals of pure veg food is provided by the hostel. lunch is brougth in the uni for hostel students. its nutirtious , taste is 4/10 You get an option to opt for hostel after getting addmision letter. Hostel is very expensive as 2 sharing is 17000 per head in BTM and 14000 in JP nagar and up to 25000 and 23000 for single rooms respectively Getting a PG around uni is more affordable , 8000 for a pretty good pg

Admission

I appiled to Christ University (central campus), MIT (Pune) , Chitkara University (Chandigarh) and Jain University (Jayanagar) Got confirmed addmision in all the colleges except Christ University which was my first choice . Reason for rejection was that i applied a bit late and all the seats were filled . Other Universitys were fine and i got admission as well but reason for going with Jain University was the specializations they offer The admission process is pretty standared First you apply to for a course -> Write the university entrance test (JET) and score atleast 50% -> Persnol interview round then wait for the admission letter 50% marks in 12 grade

Faculty

4

The Student ratio is above avrage for our college i.e.1:8 Our Degital design teacher in the second semester taught us well about various illustrations and phycology behind them , this skill translated over my persnol design language while crreating websites and UI elements What I really didnt like about our curriculum is inclusion of C language in the first sem. We have 3 exams in a semester ,2 Unit Tests for 20 marks each and 1 End Semester for 50 marks . Exams are not too difficult , if you start studying 2 weeks before exams and finish the syllabus you will pass. around 90% pass

Interview Experience

3.5

There is a written test for getting into jain universtiy called Jain Entrance Test (JET). followed by an interview process and a micropresentation The JET exam is an online MCQ based test which covers topics ranging from logical reasoning ,English ,Math to Computer Science. The interview round is pretty easy as well, The interviewre is theri to check your communication skills ,knowledge in the feild and confidence. Mocrtopresentation: Topic will be decided on spot by the interviewer ad you will have to speak on it for 60 seconds.

Placement Experience:

The college provides placements. Students who are in 6th semester of their degree courses are eligible for campus placements provided by the college. A lot of IT companies regularly walk in for job drive with annual package of 3-6 LPA. The college provides basic placement support, but employability mostly depends on individual skill development. After completing the degree, I plan to pursue higher studies or improve technical skills to get better career opportunities.

Students will be eligible for internships from the fourth sem of their course. There are many big companies who have visited the campus and made really good offers but if you want a good package the level of difficulty to get into this will also be high. The average package for BCA is 3,00,000 per annum. As per University information their placement rate is 91 percent. After getting the degree I'll be looking for a good company to work for and gain my knowledge.
