Course Curriculum Overview

It would have been great if they taught us practicals rather than only teaching from the PPTs and books.they have lab classes but instead they teach us to do sums and all by writing in copies. Rest I think it's not that bad

Internships Opportunities

College provides us with different internship opportunities during the course. We have winter and summer internships to do. Winter is not compulsory but it's better to do as it gives us experience, but summer internships are very important for placement purpose. Companies like Kellogg's, dabur, ITC sunrise, Airport Authority of India etc. gave us internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

They do provide placements to their students as they have a record of placing their 100 percent students, but most of the students are placed in sales and marketing function as they fail to bring good companies based on specialization.

Fees and Financial Aid

#Yearly fees is 3,20,000 #Semester wise fees is 1,60,000 #Total fees is 6,40,000. Everything is included in the the semester fees including tution fees, development fees, lab fees, and other compulsory charges.IEM also takes their MBA students for educational tour to Singapore which is also included in the fees. They also provide scholarships to eligible students.

Campus Life

IEM does not have a campus life at all. It is like studying in the school. It never felt like studying in college. They are strict,they have college uniforms they do not allow students to enter the college after 9:30. IEM students do not have any social life as they are always doing some kind of assignments given by the professors with a deadline.

Admission

I choose this college over other colleges because I did my bachelors from this college and it was easier for me to take admission because they do give priority to their aluminis which is a great thing for the students and they also fund new and promising entrepreneurs and their startups.

Faculty

Facilities are overall good but there can be improvment because they mainly focus on theoretical knowledge rather than practical knowledge. They only emphasis on reading books and taking exams. They usually have 2 mid semester exams before the end semester Which happens every semester. 1st semester: 2 mid sem exam+ 1 final end sem exam.(Follows every semester)

Interview Experience

3.5

Yes I faced group discussions written tests and interviews at the time of addmission. They provide us with the topic on the spot but the topic are generally not that difficult as they are current ones .

Honest Review of BIBS

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Till now I am seeing in my own eyes that in previous year, there is a 270 student in marketing and now right now the 15 student left to place and rest of the team are already placed to a many companies like ENYF Flipkart in Bandan Bank ICICI bank in a mini sector in FMCG also and FMCT also, but and retail, but I told that the ratio of placement is too higher than other college and also giving the good package is. The main thing with the job rule should be maintain the package.

IIM Calcutta has fantastic placement records. This year also it got 100% placement. There are offers for various roles in marketing, finance, consulting, operations, product management, and general management, and it involves the participation of world-renowned organisations. A total of 170 organisations visited the campus, providing a total of 520 job openings. IIM has a 100% placement rate, with the majority of the organisations coming from the consulting, financial services, marketing, and information technology industries. The highest domestic CTC was 60 lakhs, with an average package of roughly 28.5 lakhs.

Remarks:

It is one of the renowned institutes in Kolkata. But after admission got the clear msg. It is renowned for its engineering degree only not for PGDM or MBA. They even dont have proper faculties to teach students. I majored in Business Analytics, but back to then in 2019 there was not even one teacher who have subject knowledge.

Remarks:

College course structure is good but as faculty are not good implementation is bad. Need company visit and better placement. More focuses on MBA rather than the additional courses. Apart from this, it's a good college.

Remarks:

The good things I like is that the teachers teach through the slides prepared by himself and also told student to prepare PowerPoint presentation and deliver in the class and also give different case study to solve the problem. Only missing thing is that the student are getting less practical knowledge as compare to theory paper.

The good thing about this college are the activities that take place every Saturday, which is quite interesting and knowledgeable. The bad thing about the college is that the departments are divided on the basis of their courses so the students do not gather as a whole bunch of college.

So I take admission through WBJEE in IEM KOLKATA in B.tech in electrical engineering. So now I talked about eligibility criteria:- You should pass your +2 from any board with a maximum of 60% Admission in this college is 3 types WBJEE, JEE MAIN, IEMJEE all three forms you will get notified by college dunia if you have an account in it. So the IEM KOLKATA is one of the best private colleges in Kolkata and you can say in India also so the cuttoff goes very high you have to get minimum rank for this college. When I was searching for the best college to get the admission, some people told me to try for Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) and after I got admitted to this college, I really understood that I selected the right college. I will always prefer this college because discipline is strictly obeyed in IEM and all the teachers are like parents. In 2019, admission was going on offline and it was held around the month of July. This year, due to covid pandemic, the admission process was held around the month of October and from 2nd November, online education started for the first year batch. According to me, the one and only bad aspect is that every semester, Rs. 65,000 is to be paid by each and every student to continue with their education which is quite high according to me.
