Course Curriculum Overview

3

I have loved psychology since high school. The course structure followed by Adamas University is very educative and knowledgeable since it covers a lot material. Along with specialization we have other deciplinary courses which diversifies our knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

5

There is a mandatory internship mentioned in the course curricular structure. The college takes initiative to provide each student with the internship , but there is also an option for the students to opt for their own internships which would be approved by CDC.

Placement Experience

4

Adama University does provide a lot of effort to place students and provide them with better opportunities. The higest placement has been 1 crore LPA . The average being 10 LPA. My degree is purely academic based , so I'll be doinf Masters in Psychology but still the college has provided me with School councilor and HR jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have been paying 120000 INR pet year. This includes the tuition fees, caution fees, lad fees and other compulsory fees. 20000 INR is the admission fess on 60000 INR semester fee. My total course of all the 6 semesters is 3,60,000 INR. There is no separate schemes for other category of students. Fees is same for all. No merit scheme. There is a 20000INR off on fees for early birds. Students get a Vivekananda Scholarship. The fees are increasing every year. My juniors who are in 2nd year now they pay 75000 INR per semester.

Campus Life

5

The ADINOVA is the college fest that happens once a year in February. Hackathone is a major tech fest that happens in September. There is Signifia which is CSE department based but it does include cultural elements as well. There are many club total of 11 clubs where students are free to register for free.

Admission

I have applied to several government colleges like Sarijini Naidu College , Ashutosh college , Bethune, Loretto College. I have been listed as well. I chose Adamas University because other colleges did not provide BSC programme in Psychology. Adamas University accepts students after they give an admission test purely structured by the University.

Faculty

4

The faculty and student ratio is very organic. The faculties look after every students individuallly. Classes are taken regularly. There are end semester exams therefore total 6 times. There practicals each time. I have avg of 8 papers each semester.

Other Applied Colleges

Sarojini Naidu , Dum dum | BSC. (H) Psychology

I didn't opt to this because it did not have a proper course structure and promising future placement guarantee.

Cirrculam is more theoritical just. There is negligible practical life lessons. Just like normal college, u study just to get degree. The whole cirriculam should be improved. Examination is held only once - midsems, endsems thats all.

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

I currently in 2nd year, so I don't have much idea about placements that college offers. But have a brief idea on the besis of the seniors. My collage provides internships, and the average package is also good. From the sixth semester one can become eligible for internships. My plan is to study further, Msc and PhD.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.
