Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

Exam are conducted very well, but the papers are very tough, as compared to a government institute, out of syllabus questions come, papers are being checked strictly, for which many students fail. Exam fee is very high, per subject is 300 rs, 2 semester exam are conducted, together, for which it becomes difficult for the students to pass the paper

Fees and Financial Aid

My name is Ravi Naidu, I'm currently pursuing my Graduate (Bcom) degree from open University IGNOU, it has been 3 years now, this is my last year. Yearly fees of my degree is Rs 3000, which is high amount for me, since I belong from a poor family, my financial condition is not that good, I use to work, as a clerk now, for a private company, the salary that I receive is only 6000 rs. In my class only 70 students are pursuing degree, But till I haven't received any scholarship yet. I've applied many times but not got it..

Campus Life

2.5

This is my last year of college life, I've learnt many things from the institution, not only about subjects, but also about how to be a good human being, Every institute teaches about these, I thanks all the teachers and my classmates for everything..

Admission

After I passed 12th standard from my nearby college, from commerce stream, I had applied for my degree at many reputed institutions, infact I got call from many of them, after clearing the entrance, the exam that is conducted before admission, but due to financial issue I waited for 1 year, and decided to take admission in ignou, but I was unaware of the fee structure, I thought that around 3000 my course shall be completed but after 3 months I get to know that after every 1 year 3000 for admission..

Faculty

3

The faculties are very good, I must say that. The numbers of students appear for seasonal exam is approximate 70 % out of 100, majority of the students pass, only few of them, fail the percentage required for one subject is 30 percent, and 70 percent cover the assignment, If any student fail to submit the assignment is termed as failed, he/she can give the exam, after exam also they can submit the assignment, time is given and within the period they have to submit the papers, exam are conducted very strictly, no one can cheat, If got caught they are prohibited for giving the perticular exam, and fine is added,

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i am interested in finance and accounts from my 11th standard so that is the reason for selecting the b. Com (hons) For my graduation degree. The curriculum focuses more on academic not on real world experience. The level lf exams are medium not too hard and not too easy the curriculum can be improved if they focus more on reali life teaching and skills. The exams held semiannually and the timings are 9:30 AM onwards.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I wanted to study all the commerce subjects in to the depth and that's what this course offers me . This course awares me that how can a manage a office, its helps to develop us financial accounting of different types of businesses , helps us to the laws that are necessary for a person working in any field of commerce. They should remove the unnecessary additional subjects that create a lot of hurdles in the overall curriculum of the students . Their teachers should perform activities related to the main core subjects. Timing of exam is in the morning and it's difficulty level is not too high its depends on the students how they have studied their course

Many banks and accounting firms and Big 4 which have become potent when it comes to placements are the ones who offers placements. The best part is that post Covid, the inflation has gone up and so are the basic salary norms too as all studenys are offered in the range of 5-7 lakhs annually.
