Likes

The affordability of the course is the highlight for sure. Usually law schools charge around 3-4 LPA but this university only charges 50,000.
The professors are highly qualified and award deep knowledge to students.
Full air conditioned campus is provided for students of BALLB.

Dislikes

Lack of infrastructure is a major drawback, lack of space in libraries and auditoriums.
It doesnt offer placements to students, hence they have to look for jobs on their own without any assistance.
Lack of cultural activities, fests and socializing events.

Course Curriculum Overview

I think Law is the most practical course available out there. Studying case laws makes us relate to the subjects and the real world. This curriculum inspires people to pursue law as a practical experience. The law faculty could really use some improvement in moot court societies and importance of recommending companies for internships.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees for the BALLB integrated course is around 50,000 INR. Although it significantly decreases to 45,000 after the completion of 1st year which includes the admission fees. Fees is same for all categories. The toppers of each batch (1st 2nd and 3rd) receive a scholarship of 6000 , 4000 and 3000 INR respectively.

Campus Life

This is the area where University of Allahabad performs very poorly as it lacks infrastructure as well as a good campus life. There are no official fresher events, fests or social programs. There is no cafeterias in the campus. Libraries are quite accessible. Technical backlog is clearly visible inside the campus. NCC is quite active in the area of sports. Theres barely any student-run groups.

Admission

I gave CLAT and i got into NLU Sonipat. I got into SLS Pune and Jindal Global for the same course but they were out of my budget, hence i decided to go for University of Allahabad. I got rejected from top NLUs as my CLAT & AILET scores were low. My college seeks admissions through the CUET exam. After giving the CUET exam with the preferred subjects by the university, students have to register on University of Allahabad's portal and then wait for university to release cutoffs or lists of students who got selected.

Faculty

Faculty members are hired on a contractual basis so they aren't permanent, but they are doctorates and quite skilled at their work as well as easily approachable. Student to teacher ratio is 75:1. There are 2 major exams each semester, mid terms and end semesters along with presentations and submission of assignments. Mid terms, assignments and presentation are a part of internals and are of 40 marks . End sems are of 60 marks. The total grade consists of both of them combined.

Galgotias University is Greatest!

Placement Experience:

No companies as here only lawyers of arbitration and other domains come to hire students. Most students though have PPO from their interning companies but not real 10-20 LPA placements for Galgotias and that i wish change because our university academics and the kind of learning that is provided is at par with that of NLUs.

GLA University Mathura is a marvel!

Placement Experience:

Packages aren't as good or big as NLUs as 4-5 lakhs is median and just 25% students gets placements from University. Most students though go for litigation and I am also going to do the same as this is how I want to build my career and take it forward. Even LLM is also an option and GLA University is the one from where I will do, if I plan to do masters.

All About the Campus Life

Placement Experience:

In BA. LL.B. especially students are elidgible from 5th year i.e. 9TH semester for college placements, the college has a 99 % placement rate which is very impressive and students are given a vast number of choices among the companies. The companies which recruit are usually top tier like Mahindra, Wipro etc. The highest ever package in our college is 50 LPA. I am planning to do corporate law after the completion of my degree for which the college also has a corporate resource department.

Yes they do provide campus placement last year only almost 70 students were offered jobs in campus placement. But in our case most of the students have their own plans like the majority of them are generational lawyers so either they'll join their firms or they have very good contacts so they'll get places easily but in my case as a first generation lawyer we do get internship or assessment internship in which we get very good chances to get PPO they we don't have to relay on college for campus placement. In my case if i didn't get campus placement then wherever I've done my internship I'll try to convert my internship into a PPO

Don't come in allahabad university

After my CUET exam i applied in delhi university and allahabad university , i also got seat in delhi university in deen dayal collage , i also paid the fee in that collage , i also got institue of engineering and technology lucknow - with chemical branch but i cannot reach on time on councelling day because of family issue and that day i was in train and that train was 6 hour late ,but after that i also get admission in allahabad university , because allahabad university is more near to my home so i decided to persue degree in this collage .but this was biggest mistake of my life , because this collage is not able to called central university, if you want to take admission in this collage you have to give entrence called CUET , then councelling on his own website. cutoff will be low...Read More
