- i like the campus canteen and the labs and classrooms to be advanced and good the ground is well mannered too. the college conduct bangalores biggest college fest named sargam every year
- the internships and placement from top companies are good as students can trust the faculty
- a very good environment as the college is surrounded by IT TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES and the college has bus facilities around Bengaluru too
Dislikes
- the college has very few parking slots for student's vehicles
- college students have no dress code as theyre free to wear any dress. which is not a good thing
- college has no medical courses and it'd be nice if they had one anytime soon as its a good institution
Course Curriculum Overview
the college gives enough time to finish exams and comfortable too they show us a lot of applications teaching to make it easier and never leave us back with low grades and are conscious too. my decision of ECE was its a constant well real life workspace and never loses its scope in the engineering market.
Internships Opportunities
internship from flipkart Google amazon was been recruited from the 8th semester by looking at the cgpa levels of the student and academic progress. with few interview questions with the students was been asked
Placement Experience
the placement percentage of the college in the year 2023 was 92% and the companies visiting are google, Mercedes, flip kart, amazon, infosys, and alot more companies. the college prepares us from the 7th semesters for the placement drive and if you dont get recruitied there is ni problem in getting a placement as it is a good college and make sure to login a linked in app and look out for company requests and im planning to do well in placement preparations.
Fees and Financial Aid
im tharun from new horizon college of engineering banglore. my fee for BE electronic and communication engineering is 3.5Lakh per year and my friend from mechanical engineering is 2Lakh per year and the computer science engineering to be 11Lakh first year and 4.5 lakh rest of each years. and there is scholarships and reduce in fee for distinction holders in 12th. and no sc st sympathy on management entry from the college side
Campus Life
we have a big fest called SARGAM every year and alot more events and clubs during the academic and our college has good scope in conducting intercollege sports tournaments across st josephs and christs as usual and a very good opportunity to show case your talents.
Hostel Facilities
the hostel facility in college is pretty good maintained the students have a safe compound and hygiene foods provided to students with good bed space and a free veranda with a good bathroom facilities and good environmental neighbors.
Admission
i applied for PES university but the college had a entrance exam where i couldn't pass it as u scored 11000 rank and the entrance criteria was 7000 so i couldn't join it and my new horizon admission wss through an interview and an application based oral test about the subject. but comparatively pes is better than new horizon as it is good in packages and placements wise.
Faculty
there is 8 semesters in the syllabus as we follow visvesvaraya technology university syllabus and the faculty help us all the way through the exams with goid lectures and the library to be open 24/7 in the college premises there is both engineering and commerce degree and ug in college such as bcom bba bca mba mcom and etc..
Interview Experience
it was an individual one on one interview as they asked me about my personal puc college life and my grades and my ambition and few of basic science and math questions was asked and if the impression was good on spot admission was been done and thats it.
