Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Political Science is one of the most demanded course in today's world. It is an objective and extremely relevant subject today. We learn about every aspect of politics, philosophy that guide decision-making, international relations, geopolitics, institutions, power-play in domestic and international politics etc. I am extremely interested in Public Policy formulation, administration and geopolitics which is why I opted for Political Science honours. I am also doing minor in economics due to the same. We have in class discussions, debates, presentations that not only develop soft skills but also enhance our awareness of current issues, policy analysis and public interest.

Classrooms have big fans, windows, projectors, white boards of decent sizes LSR NSO is also very active and we have table tennies, chess, football. basketball. shooting, archery, athletics, tennis etc. LSR NSS has 27 WORKING projects with interventions in teaching, elderly-care, mental health, disabled children, women empowerment etc.

Admission

Well, LSR Political Science was my FIRST PREFERENCE and I got into it. But I considered going to Hindu College and Miranda House as well. I got into Fergusson College, Pune Jai Hind, Mumbai St. Xaviers Mumbai and 3-4 others. I chose LSR because of its FACULTY, excellent CROWD and actively engaging societies. LSR is mainly an arts college and I wanted a safe environment where I can grow intellectually. I didn't go to other colleges because LSR had always been my first choice and the legacy and esteem the institution holds is INCOMPARABLE. Delhi University is the premier university in India for arts courses. I had to give CUET-UG conducted by NTA to get admission in DU's colleges. My score was 782/800 and my AIR was 170The cutoff was 776/800UR

Faculty

5

LSR has brilliant faculty for Political Science. The professors are so dedicated and well aware about the ongoing contemporary circumstances, it is an experience itself to listen to them. Our class has 80 people sitting in a class with one faculty (Lecture), but one-on-one interaction is very easy with the professor because we have TUTORIAL CLASSES where only a group of 20 people sits with the professor and discuss or ask doubts personally. ch paper)

Placement Experience:

Yes people get intership at the end of graduation as there were many companies who came to provide internship to student . But for my course this never works because we cannot get any good job by doing B.a as its only theory.

I didn't give many miscellaneous exams but BMS. Although, I did try really hard to get in through ECA trials in music. English was always my passion, but so was music, which is why I yearned for North Campus. I started off by taking admission in Motilal Nehru College. From then in the next list, I jumped to ARSD, and finally in the very unexpected 8th cut-off list, I got DCAC. That was the best decision ever.
